Read The bible a few times. And you will see the fact--you will find:

Noahs day-8 humans served God--99% mislead
Israelites fell away constantly to practicing false god worship and vile practices--99% mislead--99% false religionssssssssssssssss
Jesus, apostles, Christians all murdered--99% mislead--99% false religionssssssssssssssssssssss
These last days--99% mislead--99% false religionssssssssssssssssssssssss

Matthew 7:13-14

Well, I have read it through many times, taught Christian theology to adults for 14 years, taught many seminars on a variety of religious topics, taught comparative religions for two years, and have read literally hundreds of theology books. Does that make me an "expert"? No, and I never would claim as such because there's always people better than me on this and all other subjects.

So, your condescending remarks above I find truly pathetic, and it's a shame that you seemingly think you know enough whereas you can judge others and come up with numbers such as we see above. Believe what you want, but at least have the decency to not strut around like a peacock and condemn what others may believe. If you disagree with them, fine, but at least have the decency to recognize that so many others are truly trying their best to understand and to act morally.

Come now métis you must realize by now that some people want to strut around, it gives them pride to believe they are chosen. See in their heads that makes them more special than you, oh yes they'll claim to be humble, but through their words and actions you can see that they are quiet prideful. See they unlike the rest of the world are not blind, they unlike the rest of the world are not deceived...and because of that they can judge others because they can see while others cannot.

You should know this by now being only slighter younger than infinity....

Oh, you are so nasty! :p

Yes, I think you definitely have seen the same thing that many of us have seen, namely the attitude of some whereas they parade themselves as having "the answers" when most of us are not even too sure exactly what the questions are. As Confucius said, the more we know, the more we know we really don't know.

It's a comfort and assurance. Why do you think insurance companies do so well? People will do anything to be sure that they are safe and secure and once they believe they have that moral hazard takes place.

All of you are brothers and sisters, I see all of your eternal lives on the line, because many claim to love Jesus but don't have a clue as to his true teachings. Because they are not taught to study them carefully. And I surely believe time is close for Gods kingdom to take full control.
My numbers are 100% correct- What percentenge would you put on 8 humans knowing God out of all the earth? The Israelites were Gods only chosen-when they practiced vile things-99% mislead--every other religion was false.
After murdering Jesus ,apostles,christians-99% mislead--99% false religionsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss--OT-one religion--nt-Jesus started one religion. 99% false religions( Babylon the great)--- nothing has changed except more false religionsssssssssssssssssssssssssss. And one true religion. God warned all--GET OUT OF HER.. Listen to Jesus.

"Babylon the Great" was a reference to the Roman Empire, and "Babylon" (which is in the feminine form in Greek) that Peter says he was writing from, is a reference to the city of Rome. To me, a "false religion" would more likely be one that says its the only true religion.

Is your S key broken? You might want to take your keyboard in and get that fixed. Because I know keyboards don't normally add 21 extra s's at the end of the word "religions".

Why would Paul, who was a roman, call the city of Rome 'Babylon' rather then 'Rome'?

Because he was Jewish?

the jewish people knew the city of Babylon. It was not located in Rome.

It makes very little sense considering Paul spoke of Rome in his letters...he didnt call the city Babylon anywhere in his letters. He called it Rome.

Babylon is NOT Rome. If Paul or John were speaking about the city of Rome, they would have named it Rome as they did on other occasions.

No they wouldn't have. Christians had already been persecuted greatly under Nero, and were viewed as outcasts and rejects by Roman society. Had St. John explicitly come out and said that Rome is a harlot and to be destroyed, how much worse do you think it would have been for Christians? John had to be indirect about it if he didn't want to see thousands of Christians being slaughtered as enemies of the state.

Paul didn't write Revelation. Jews called Rome "Babylon" for the religion it had inherited from the previous empire. From the perspective of nationalistic Jews, both would be seen as evil empires, making the comparison in Revelation a short stretch.

Why would Jews denounce the Roman Empire in code? Not difficult to figure out IMO.

Catholic interpretation of John has been that it was about Nero and persecution for a long time, but then if they're the whores of babylon I'm sure they're considered biased on the matter.

*Except my freshman theology teacher, she taught us that Genesis was literal and people lived longer due to better genes back then. The priest who was my sophomore year teacher had many facepalm moments with my classmates.

neither Jesus nor his apostles were afraid to speak out against the authorities.

Jesus outrightly and publicly condemned the ruling religious order of his day... do you think his disciples were cowards?

They were the ones who made a written record of such public condemnation so I dont think your theory on the identity of Babylon the Great is correct.

the point was that Paul was a roman, he wrote the name 'ROME' many times in his letters as a reference to the city of Rome.

The jews did not rename Rome, Babylon. Paul called it Rome,
Romans 1:7 to all those who are in Rome as God’s beloved ones, called to be holy ones:

2Timothy 1:17 On the contrary, when he was in Rome, he diligently looked for me and found me

Luke called it Rome:
Acts 2:10  Phryg′i·a and Pam·phyl′i·a, Egypt and the regions of Lib′y·a near Cy·re′ne; sojourners from Rome, both Jews and proselytes

Why should 'Babylon the Great' mean Rome???

thats the question.

unfortunately for that interpretation, Nero was dead long before the book of Revelation and the reference to 'Babylon the Great' was mentioned. Nero died around 64ce... revelation was written around 96ce.

Then this cuts the same way with your argument. Why call the "empire of false religions" Babylon? If St. John wasn't a "coward", as you say, he would have come out immediately and said that false religions were Babylon. But he doesn't.

Yes, Jesus condemned the Pharisees and Sadduccees, but at the same time, this didn't get anyone but Himself killed. Had the Apostles routinely and openly prophesied the destruction of Rome, then the blood of thousands of Christians would have been shed on their account. There's a difference between boldly proclaiming the Truth, and needlessly and recklessly endangering the lives of your brothers and sisters in the Faith.

The Apostles had better things to focus on than the coming destruction of Rome; more than that, they wanted to redeem and save the Roman Empire by converting it to Christ. They could easily condemn the evils of Roman society without setting themselves up as political enemies of the state to be exterminated.

Thats the interesting thing about prophets....they dont necessarily know or understand what they are writing about. They are given visions and told to write what they 'see'.... they do not necessarily know the interpretation of what they see.

John saw a 'babylon the great' the 'mother of harlots' riding a wild beast.
He didn't see a particular religious organisation or a particular politician....he saw a well dressed drunk prostitute riding a wild beast.

Christians were needlessly killed and persecuted...and that was happening long before the book of revelation was written.

The Apostles had better things to focus on than the coming destruction of Rome; more than that, they wanted to redeem and save the Roman Empire by converting it to Christ. They could easily condemn the evils of Roman society without setting themselves up as political enemies of the state to be exterminated.

NO. The apostles had nothing to do with getting into bed with the roman political empire. The Apostles were all dead before the end of the first century.
It was the so-called 'church fathers' who got into bed with the ruling powers of the day....and they were willing to kill their fellow faithful christians in order to do it too.
