If it was mankind's fault to have been condemned, via the expulsion from the garden, why then did Jesus have to pay the price? Because God loved us, even though we have sinned, to send His Son to be punished for our sins. We can not save ourselves, His Son is the only unblemished sinless sacrifice that is suitable.
If Jesus paid the price, what then becomes of the state of mankind's soul? Because Jesus died for our sins and rose from the grave to defeat death, those who chose to believe in Him can expect to be raised on the last day to eternal life with Him.
If it was the loss of mankind's soul that Jesus paid the price for, than, are all souls saved? Although Jesus died for all sinners, only those who choose to follow Him and put their faith in Him, will be saved, (sorry, its in the Bible)
Mankind's spirit/soul is saved and lives on after the death of the flesh......does it mean that the flesh is left to suffer the consequences for whatever trespasses we commit? Not sure what your comment is here, when someone dies they are asleep until Jesus returns, at which time He will separate His sheep from the goats. You want to be a sheep.
Is that what it means by what the bible says, "The wages of sin is death"? It is a reference to the free grace of God that is available to all who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation. All satan will do is pay you the wages that your sin has earned.......death.
Does it also mean that.... Gal_6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap? You can't fool God, He knows your heart. if you sow sin all your life without any care of repenting and turning to God, than you will reap the consequences.
.........is this what I understand to be the state of my life: Born innocent, condemned by my own intellect via my judgments, my soul saved by God, via His Son, but responsible for my own actions and accountable for them with consequences? And if, that is my understanding, I am assured, by God via His Son, that my soul is secured but not my body which is, subject to consequences and death.
Your summery leaves out the most important ingredient.....REPENTING. Every one of us are sinners, the Bible says that All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. ALL. None of us on our own can measure up to what God expects of us. That is the beauty of the Gospel, Jesus died for us, and rose from death to defeat satan. Those who choose to follow Jesus and put their faith and trust in only Him, will never die! (the 2nd death) As far as your body goes, when Jesus returns and we come out of the grave to meet Him in the air, our mortal bodies will change in the twinkling of the eye, to immortal, perfect bodies. And we will spend eternity with Jesus.

Just as Adam's soul was Not secure, and all of Adam returned to the dust of the ground - Genesis 3:19, then as Ezekiel 18:4; Ezekiel 18:20 says the soul that sins dies. So, as No part of Adam was immortal, and Adam was never offered ' immortality ' but ' offered everlasting life on Earth ' as long as he kept God's law.

Since ' flesh ' (physical) can Not inherit the kingdom - 1 Corinthians 15:50 - then it is only via 'resurrection' to meet Jesus in the air.
Jesus did Not take his physical body to heaven, but God resurrected Jesus in a spirit body.- Hebrews 9:24
As the clouds took Jesus out of sight - Acts of the Apostles 1:9 - then those resurrected to heaven will also have a resurrection as Jesus did.
The ones who have a resurrection as Jesus did will Not spend time sleeping in death as the rest of mankind does.
Those who are part of Revelation 20:6; 5:9-10; 2:10 - they will gain perfect immortality as Jesus now has - John 5:26
All who died before Jesus died ( John 3:13; Acts 2:34 ) can have a happy-and-healthy physical resurrection back to physical life on Earth.
That is why the ' future tense ' is used at Acts of the Apostles 24:15 that there ' is going to be ' a resurrection......

In a ' figurative sense ' the humble people of Matthew 25:31-33,37 will spend eternity with Jesus because they will be alive on Earth, and they can continue to live on Earth, starting with calendar Day One of Jesus' coming 1,000-year governmental rulership over Earth begins.
So, as Adam was originally offered ' everlasting life ' on Earth, so everyone who comes through the coming great tribulation of Revelation 7:14; Isaiah 26:20 - can gain everlasting life on Earth, along with those who will have a physical resurrection having a sound heart, mind and body.
That is why Jesus could promise the humble people at Matthew 5:5 an earthly inheritance. - Proverbs 2:21-22; Psalms 37:10-11,29

Before God sent Jesus to Earth, Jesus had a spirit body and God resurrected Jesus back in his heavenly spirit body.
We, on the other hand, are descendants from fleshly father Adam and mother Eve. - Genesis 1:28
The resurrected ascended-to-heaven Jesus stood before God in heaven in a spirit body - Hebrews 9:24

The majority of mankind have lived and died without knowing about Jesus, so there would be No way for them to put faith in Jesus.
Via a physical resurrection people can 'stand' on Earth before God because Earth is God's footstool - Isaiah 66:1
Those who died before Jesus died can have the opportunity to have a healthy physical resurrection back to life on Earth - John 3:13
They can ' stand up ' again as Daniel 12:2; Daniel 12:13 in favorable judgement under Christ's coming millennial reign over Earth.
That physical resurrection also includes people like King David and John the Baptizer - Acts of the Apostles 2:34; Matthew 11:11
Jesus will fulfill God's promise to father Abraham that ALL families, and ALL nations of Earth will be blessed - Genesis 12:3; Genesis 22:18
Through Christ, they will be blessed with the benefit of healthy healing for earth's nations - Revelation 22:2; Isaiah 33:24
Even ' enemy death ' will be No more on Earth ever again - 1 Corinthians 15:26; Isaiah 25:8

Repentance is an earthly issue. Salvation is of God...... not ours. If, we accept His salvation (Spiritual issue done earthly) we are repentant.= Change of mind and heart.
A reflection of that would be evident.

ronandcarol, I agree on some and offer explanations on others.
[QUOTE}Although Jesus died for all sinners, only those who choose to follow Him and put their faith in Him, will be saved, (sorry, its in the Bible) [/QUOTE]

Key is "all sinners" bar-none. What one does in the meantime, concerning salvation, impacts our relationship to Him. But from the get go? We were lost already. Couldn't get any more lost than what it was already. So the direction is up and not down.

It is a reference to the free grace of God that is available to all who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation. All satan will do is pay you the wages that your sin has earned.......death.

Available....is true. But since sin is a earthly creation......it ends with our end.(Death) Jesus paid the price.

Repentance......is a state of mind and heart. Because we are enabled, if we so desire, to believe in the salvation of Jesus we are freed from hell and death. If not, we remain in a dead state until we really die and will repent at the feet of Jesus when we shall all bend a knee.

Blessings, AJ
