you are right, i am so sorry for being so stupidly bias, i now except jesus in to my heart and make him lord.

dont you get it religion is not reasonable. belife in a god is not reasinable. the sin of mankind it to presume it knows god and acts in his name. religion is an excuse that allowes us to place ourselfs higer than the others around us.

you care to offer proff of god? or the goodness of god?

So are you trying to prove that disbelievers can be just as unreasonable as you claim religions are? Certainly the evidence which you are supplying at this present point in time does highly suggest they are. As is the evidence which you are supplying highly suggests your belief is trying to place your belief higher than the religious.

Do I care to offer proof of God? Or the goodness of God? : This just shows how unreasonable your point is, being and Agnostic I do not have any such proof. So far your post is just going from unreasonable to unreasonable.

look its simple i belive that religion is a wish, a hope, a selfsish need.
i belive that there is the posiblity of a god, but that it is imposible for man to know anything outside of waht a man can know.

i belive each of us hold our own belifes higher than thoses around us, you me and everybody.

so tell me what understanding are you trying to inpart to me? what knollage are you ofering me?
you are telling me that you are agnostic, and you choose to defend the errors of religions of the world, and that in my choosen path you see error, ok show me, i am game.

That was obvious from post 1 in this thread.

That makes you the same as most people in religions.

i belive each of us hold our own belifes higher than thoses around us, you me and everybody.

I would agree, to condemn the religious for doing this, is to condemn the self. And if a person deems themself as better for doing the same thing, they are only better at being worse.

so tell me what understanding are you trying to inpart to me? what knollage are you ofering me?

LOL I offer you no knowledge, you cannot impart knowledge on a person who has their own blind faith of belief.

you are telling me that you are agnostic, and you choose to defend the errors of religions of the world, and that in my choosen path you see error, ok show me, i am game.

Again you get further and further from the point of reason. I have told you I am agnostic, I have neither implied or suggested any of those other things.

well i guess i have to wate for the leather pics,

i dont have a problem with some folks needing a bible, if it makes you a better, more peaceful person. the shame is that we need a bible, if god were real we would not need one. the bible acts as a serigote god. and the beliver in its holy books feel thet they have to defend there belifes and bibles. there actions they belive to be the providance of god, and if jesus lives in there hearts they would not need a bible, so in the end the fact that we have a bible is evidance that there is no god.

So if we have a history book does that indicate that we carry it because it's evidence that there is no history? Is the history book a surrogate historian?

Just exactly how many lashes do you need with that whip? :D

no it does not, i don't believe you need to believe in a god, in fact i think it is foolish to believe in god. if you mean that i like all othere religions think every one is wrong, then yes i am like all the other religious people, btw do you think all religious people are right? every group is correct? and i am correct too? or are you like me beliving that religion is a false hope, and people are fools to belive it?

are you not aware that history books are written only by the victor? the parts of the bible that did not reflect the editors of the bible were removed, and destroyed. the same goes for history books, Ben Franklin got the ideal to place small pox in blankets and give it to the Indians, why don't you read about that in school?

why is the miracle's in mark doubbled? fish and lofes x2, the 10 blinds guyes x2, the casting out of the demons x2, the lepards cleaned x2

and the lashes? whip hand toung? i am down for what ever.:drool:

If you have 4 people see an accident happen and you get all of them to write their version of the details. All 4 will have most of the basic facts with a few discrepancies. Some people may say there were 2 or 3 people in the car, some may say only 2. It just depends on their attention to detail.

You are a "wild one" aren't you? :D

charity, i was a christian, a born jew, and my path has brought me to a place were when i reconciled the 4 different peoples views i became aware that really each one no matter how nice they are were bias, and as the story gets handed down to each generation the bias gets stronger and stronger. i started to realize i have a great deal of hope vested in my belief of god. so much so that i would eggnor what i knew were lies, and make excuses for god. it was then that i decided that god does not need or want my help. that religion paints a eazy picture, that we fool ouselfs the most. to a man dying of dehidration, a cup of **** tastes like wine. i have found that we all must save our selfs, pick from our own mess the tools were be we will get better, and whole.

charity you have no ideal. btw i like how you go by charity, and not chastity, it means you like to give. and i like people that like to give.

LOL I am sure that it is how it would seem to you. How it seems to me is you confirmed it and why I said it was obvious from post 1.

LOL of course it doesn't sky cake, you are different aren't you. Even though you go on to say you are the same.

I believe all groups of people have the potential to be right. Which one is right, who knows, no evidence to say one way or the other, albeit each group will live in their own faith of belief. I do not believe anybody is a fool, in fact I view this as a derogative term, albeit I respect the right of the narrow minded to use it.

so your better at being worse?

Why yes sky cake, I definately can be. Albeit I know it when I am and don't try to pretend that it is anything less.

My beliefs on the deity debate are simple, everybody and every group has the potential of being correct to a greater or lesser degree. I am an agnostic, I already shared my beliefs with you.

I already knew you had no faith in Gods, bibles, religions et al, that was obvious from post number 1. No your faith goes the other way which takes you away from Gods, bibles, religions et al.

ok maybe i have missed judged you, you speak or reason, expound on that, you start, open up some reason and pore us a cup. come on i am wating.

Starting from an unreasoned position, that is all you could ever do, misjudge by way of unreasoned responses given to you by your own knowledge and experience. Albeit this was obvious from post number 1.

A reasoned position is one that isn't influence by your own personal beliefs.

is the bible as correct as all other holy books? if the bible is possibly only correct, and = to all other holy books then one of the holy books have to be wrong.

if the christians that knew jesus and live after he was killed did not need a bible why do we need one?

Is there only one way and one direction of travel to get from New York to London? There are many paths all leading the same place.

if the christians that knew jesus and live after he was killed did not need a bible why do we need one?

I would suggest, for the same reason Plato thought it a good idea to keep the words of Socrates alive he thought they were worth keeping.

For the same reasons that Jesus himself seemed to have needed scripture: To familiarize ourselves with the Tradition of our chosen spiritual vehicle.
