Lets pour some gasoline on this topic

I have some generalizations about atheists people.

* They usually cannot tolerate different opinions, you have to be agree with them.
* They usually and easily gets agry if you continue to defend your idea tightly. :rage:
* They usually starts to use rude-abusive words in the later minutes of a heated debate.
* They usually starts to personal attacks in the later minutes of a heated debate. :bustsinsilhouette:
* If they gain enough power, they do not even hesitate to destroy religious people. :boom:
* They usually are so confused and unstable persons.
* They usually underestimate theist people. :triumph:

Ofcourse not all atheists are terrorists but all terrorists.......... ops sorry  I think I use a wrong idiom, anyway :p
Your right, every one of those generalizations are right on target, they even had me saying words that I never thought could be said on a forum, they hated my guts.

Oh, but you do.....in fact, by not believing in gods, you're a fundamentalist atheist.
It doesn't take much to be one....we have such a singular fundamental belief, or rather disbelief.
Who's 'they'?
A group of people on an atheist forum, a pretty well known one. What I have notices is that a lot of atheist think their so clever because they have science backing them, no matter if that science is right or wrong, they dogmatically cling to it.

Ok. Well if your point is that some atheists are tools, then I'd readily agree.
If your point is that atheists are tools, then I'd readily disagree.

Course, I'm biased, as I don't think of myself as a tool.

I mean, I might disagree with Atheism, but I value ethical behavior in people more then ideological conformity. If somebody insults my religion, RE spreading a blatant falsehoods, I feel the need to defend it, but "I don't believe in your religion, and I even have reasons why" is not something I get offended over, nor any sane person should.

Like, I'm talking "Temple of Doom" level BS. If you're not going to make the scared Christians think Hinduism is any more "satanic" then they already do, then there is no reason to get butthurt

Theism or atheism, has nothing to do with religious education.

Most religions disagree more within their own ranks and different sects, then they ever do with atheist.

WE just have a larger influx of people it seems, and it takes people a while to realize were sort of a family around here. Strong emphasis on community.

The Hindu forum is really nice. It is a shame I was gone so long.

People should enjoy defending what they do. Being in the grace of better debaters makes you stronger.

Education is great. I love learning about Religion, among the other humanities.

The thing about science is that it's based on observable evidence. Theism generally isn't.

yes I realize that, but many atheist just plain think of their self as knowing all, because of science, this makes me feelings, atheists try to make what their feelings are what is, and in most cases they know nothing at all.

Disbelief in gods doesn't instill authority, brains or humility.
We atheists (all the others, anyway) can be such jerks, eh?

Which makes them no different than a Christian forum which I have noticed a lot of Christians think their so clever because they have scripture backing them, no matter if their version of scripture is right or wrong, they dogmatically cling to it.

I hope I misunderstand you.

and in most cases they know nothing at all.

This is something you need to provide examples for.

If what you say is true, there should be many readily available examples you could produce, provided it is a true statement.

yes I realize that, but many atheist just plain think of their self as knowing all,

Don't you think with no apologetic bias, or mythology, without theistic blinders on. That one can have a more clear picture of reality??????

because of science

Is this an outright appeal against education and knowledge?

Then leave us aloneeee : ) I'm not interested with what you believe in, do the same. Why are your trying to impose your atheism on others. Do you think that the only clever person on the earth is you ? :tongueout: (einstein tongue)
Questioning someone's beliefs and forcing them to defend them with logical and articulate explanations is not "imposing their atheism on others" in any way. I am very disturbed that there is a growing trend on this site against questioning beliefs. That is exactly what this site is made for, isn't it? As long as it is done civilly, it should be applauded. Further, asking questions in no way shows a notion that "they are the only clever person on earth." Not sure where you got that from, but Atheism/Agnosticism is centered on the search for truth. Their assumption is that we do not have nearly enough evidence to prove God's existence. They want to explore their reasoning and question this reasoning as well, and the only way to do this is to explore the reasoning of theists.

I find it extremely disrespectful to join a site like this and expect to have your beliefs off limits. We should all welcome challenges to our beliefs in a forum like this.

Why wouldn't you want to defend the reasoning/logic behind your beliefs. You are welcome to try to convince atheists that they their beliefs are wrong ... but it is pretty prejudicial to think that any group of people (believers or not) think the same way about anything.

In short, you are mistakenly equating "questioning one's beliefs" with "imposing atheism on others." "Impose" means "force (something unwelcome or unfamiliar) to be accepted or put in place." I would strongly argue that, on a site like this, it is not possible to "impose" anything on anyone, according to the limitations of the term. I believe the word you are looking for is "convince." And, I could not imagine that you have a problem with people trying to "convince" you that your beliefs might be flawed, as there is nothing disrespectful or wrong with that.
