Misanthropic Humanist
It is about power and dehumanizing the other person.
Not sex.
That's easily enough accomplished without involving sexual organs. Again, if it's not about sex at all, then why involve sexual organs?

I don't think so.
When you rape a person you are attacking them in the most personal way. A way that hits them at their core.
Many women are raped and their virginity is taken away. In many cases what they value most.

People dehumanize and exert power over other people all the time in a myriad of ways which do not involve sex in any way. In fact, most ways do not involve sex.
That's a highly subjective perspective which depends on the person. This may be true for some people, but not all, and it doesn't speak to the motivations of the person committing the rape.
Again, a subjective perspective that varies greatly amongAs individuals. And, again, this doesn't describe all people, nor does it speak to the motivations of the person committing the rape.
Why do you think this things are mututally exclusive? Dont you think it coulde both about humilliation and sexual pleasure?
And quite honestly, it can simply be about sexual pleasure above all. The man sees a girl he likes, he knows he doesnt stand a chance or thinks he doesnt. He doesnt really care about her suffering and doesnt fear for the punishment or thinks he can void it.
What o you think stops this person from raping the woman? While hacing no inherent wish to make her feel humilliated? (But not caring if it so happens)

Humiliation yes, sexual pleasure no.

Ehm... Men rape because they have no sympathy for their victims,
yep, exactly like animals. Does a lion feel remorse or sadness for its victim as its eating its catch?
Most mammals do feel sympathy. Lions feel sympathy towards each other. Nw, animals dont feel sympathy towards all the animals of their species and very rarely with animals of other species. There are degrees of sympathy, that are acutally like the degrees of sympathy in humans.
Which makes sense, we are all mamals.
Is it not one of the reasons why there are rapists all over the world?
okay, so then that makes rapists even worse then animals.
You quoted my post but did not nswer my question. Try again, but this time read it:
the question is in bold
Why religions proscribe sexual pleasures? Is it not one of the reasons why there are rapists all over the world? Are there rapists in the animal kingdom?
People rape to satiate their suppressed urges and rapists are not always accountable for their acts and the society he belongs to must equally take the responsibility to short his natural instincts for sex
So why involve sexual organs if it isn't in any way about sex?
The poor social laws/customs of a society which discourage marriage and which give one partner (the wife) more power than the other is what leads to rape.
Classic example of scapegoating.
How silly of a society to blame the actual perpetrator of a crime. Instead, let's blame women who have too much autonomy and say-so.
That's not what I meant. I didn't say anything about women being responsible for rape due to their way of dressing or that they should not be given any rights.
In the country which I live in, men are afraid to get married because the laws of the democratic country in which I live give women the right to take pretty much everything her husband owns. Women cry out feminism and the country keeps getting tougher on men who have done nothing wrong.
So this in turn forces men to look down on marriage (which it does) and find other means of fulfilling their desires which includes rape. Marriage at a young age is looked down upon also by a society which encourages teens to 'have fun' first before they settle down.
I have spoken to a lot of friends (all males) who have been through divorces and all say that their wives have the power to take everything from them, they first take the kids and everything else follows after that, including their wealth, house and part of their weekly wage.
I'm not saying that I am against the father having to pay child support, I'm just saying that women are given way too much power on this matter which in turn has forced men to do things that they normally wouldn't.
And like I said, the rapist is to be held accountable for his crime.
