No, not really. But that is the problem of those who propose that idea. It falls upon them to make it survive the confrontation with facts, or to explain how Genesis is supposed to make sense, or how come God's direction never amounts to anything detectable.

Ah, that would be or difference then.
Most times I've heard theistic evolution, it necessitates god

What difference it makes.

Science doesn't speak about God but we speak about it as theists and atheists.

You won't see the word God in any scientific book, there are facts and how that is related to God is another subject.

As i said we know for example that Day and Night is caused by the rotation of earth around its axis,as a theist i may believe that God planned it and the atheist believe that it happened without prior plan but the fact remains that the earth is rotating around its axis.

That is a sad thing to believe in or say, unless you are talking about strictly personal things that hold no importance for anyone else.

Personal things or things of no importance......

So posting what I believe (important and personal) is sad?.....
in a forum about personal beliefs?

No doubt....'anything' about believing in God is not important to you.

This would be the retribution I find which most fits with what I'm thinking of when I at theistic evolution

" Abstract: Theistic evolution is the proposition that God is in charge of the biological process called evolution. God directs and guides the unfolding of life forms over millions of years. Theistic evolution contends that there is no conflict between science and the Biblical book of Genesis."

If this definition roughly what you think of as theistic evolution?

I like the notion of God in charge.

Genesis is a report of manipulation...to alter the body and spirit of Man.

It is written in terms and methods we now know CAN happen.

Yes, such as which haircut looks best on someone, or whether vanilla tastes better than chocolate.

I do find it sad that so much of what you post I can't make sense of, much less agree with, since from all appearances you take those stances seriously and lend them importance.

I will grant that this forum (Evolutionism Vs. Creationism) is a bit of an odd duck, but I would not call it one about personal beliefs. Even Creationists usually claim to be talking about fact as opposed to belief, after all.

Oh, that is just not at all true. I am a fervent anti-theist.

I find you first line a shallow comparison.
The rest is of no importance.

Its gods intervention or lack of, from an all powerful enough creator, that gets called into question. If god is calling every single shot from the beginning of time it is pointless. Is thinking I have free will going to change my life other than what was planned? God would have planned a good outlook vs a crap outlook throwing someone into despair.

It's not God causing the crap.
God gave Man dominion.

The evolution item is a process set in motion and needs very little 'Hands On'.

A garden event.....
An occasional meteor.....
An occasional plague....
A flood now and then....

The incidentals are of God?.....

Yeah that was the question. Does he intervene or not? Just shakes the ant farm up a little bit?

Yeah....just a shake now and then.
The rest is up to us.

The mechanism of evolution will always be in the background.

....and the salt content of our bodies is similar to that of the sea.
So I've heard.

No, that is not the case. The salt content of our bodies is about 1/3 that of sea water.

The oceans were less salty all those millenia ago when our ancestors left the ocean. The salt content of our bodies matches that of the primal oceans in which our ancestors lived.

Oh! a recent discovery!
