So? The founding fathers made the US a republic to avoid direct democracy and the parliament systems due to the flaws of both.
Are you saying that if 'The People' decide against what you personally want then they shouldn't be allowed to do that?
Nope. The "People" are completely unqualified to create legislation, they are not beholden to the Constitution. The mob can not vote say to remove people's rights merely because the mob has spoken. What if that mob down the road ends up being fundamentalist Christians that remove same-sex marriage by mob vote?

Nope. I reject direct democracy and the population voting on legislation directly.
