White men are finally realizing that they are neither free nor superior, as they had believed and presumed for so long in America. And now they're just angry and frightened.

If it comes to a violent confrontation they want to be prepared.If the native Americans had better weapons the white men might not have been able to take the land from them. Just be careful about not making this attitude writ large.
Of all the white guys into guns whom I know, not one thinks that way.
This is just as not all black guys are violent inner city gang members.

Irony..I'm a gun owner I own a Sigma S&W 9mm stainless steel (which has a heavy trigger pull) and a Glock 20...I still do not think it is necessary to use guns unless you have to.

Yes, I'm quite peaceful myself but we can distinguish a trend from an individual.

Like I've stated in my other threads, the ideal form of self defense is based on the environment. Here, the worse case and most likely scenario is a male carrying a gun. Yes, that's technically sexist but I at the same time it's technically true. Crime statistics will show this.

I might be a liberal but am hardly PC.

We cant correct these issues if we are not being honest with ourselves.

If you have to become a criminal to be free, it's the government that's whacked not you. At least, in the USA the government derives its power from the people not the other way around. In this type of situation, the government would be out of bounds so the deal is null and void. The constitution has all sorts of fail-safes like this.

I didn't say anything about democracy or even apply that is valid, the USA is a republic. Democracy is a nice way of saying mob rule, and historically it's failed every time that it has been implemented. The masses generally make decisions on group think rather than the ultimate good. Most of the existing nations that implement democracy directly are communist or socialist, it works so well.

That's why we have a representative form of government, to keep the plebs from rocking the boat too much.
