Why be muslim?

Actually my objection was on the shariah part. There isn't a country which rules according to shariah although many claim they do.

Studies show that actually some European countries are closer to shariah laws that the so called "muslim countries".

The biggest misunderstanding here is that people think shariah only refers to the punishments imposed on people like cutting the hand and these stuff, however these are trivial things.

Marriage and divorce laws ??

Or teaching tribute ??
What is the law in your view ?

When I said there is no muslim country I meant that there is no country ruling according to the teaching of Islam or shariah.

When a muslim majority nation is invaded than it is referred to as a muslim country to state that muslims are the ones targeted.

Is full Sharia is the booty in the wars?
Or slaves and concubines and slaves ??
Or the word of God Muhammad RSS ????? ??
Or full Sharia is in the Hajj and decrees pagan ??

People say this until a Muslim-majority nation is invaded...then it's a Muslim country and an attack on Islam.

Islam is a complete way of life due to it's religious and thorough legal system which is still adhered to. Do Jewish communities live by and enforce the laws of the Torah? Do Christian communities live by and enforce the laws of the Bible? I don't think dharmic religions provide 'completeness' in quite the same way as the Abrahamic ones do - not at all implying superiority of one over the other.

I look at Muslim countries where the completeness of Islam is a front and centre and determine that a secular way of life is preferable, by far.

Islam is a backward legal system is fit for the world ??
