Would God create people who had a tendancy towards homosexuality if he disagreed with it?
That's a distinct possibility.

Would God create people who had a tendancy towards homosexuality if he disagreed with it?
You ideas intrigue me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.Spoken as though you think your dishonesty means a lick of swine snot to me.
Because having confirming evidence of natures role would debunk the main thrust of the 'homosexuality is a choice' argument.
Oh, dear...
The LDS has a limited amount of funds that it gains through donations, and the like. It has a limited amount of people whom are willing to do volunteer work in the church's name. Because of this, the LDS has a choice of how it is going to divide it's resources and volunteers in order to further it's own goals.
I suppose the ignore list makes it easier to hear only from those whom you agree with...
Well, interracial marriage was only legalized in Utah in 1963, and Black men only admitted to the priesthood in 1978, so the Mormons have been on the wrong side of civil rights most of this century.
Sorry. I didn't equate "concentration" with "money."

And the LDS are the authorities on scientific research?Well, according to the LDS official position, we don't know what causes homosexuality.

You should start one.I have no newsletter or even an agenda.
I merely got fed up with Watchman's "Pigeon Playing Chess" tactics.
Most of the last century too, reading the post.
I think it was mixed, although Utah territory legalized slavery in 1850.
I also mentioned people, too. Your church only has a certain amount of people, whom it can direct towards furthering it's agendas. Concentrating it's people on politics means that those people are not helping those in need.

My guess is because your comment came off as arrogantly proclaiming that if it is not LDS Doctrine that is matters not anything else.LDS have many brilliant minds in the sciences, yes. Do we claim to be authorities? No. As far as I know, there is no absolute concensus of whether human sexuality is driven by genes, environment, or a combination. Most likely, and I say this as a non-expert/non-authority, it is a combination.
Why do yo ask?
OK, I concede. The Church doesn't spend ALL it's money and ALL it's people on humanitarian work. I guess the real thrust of the issue is: why should it?
Because the commands of Jesus were all about helping the poor and downtrodden, and he didn't say a thing about political involvement.
