I for one am glad Atheist are here. I used to come to RF to debate atheist and other faiths, now I am a non-believer! It took me about 2 years, but I finally crossed over to the land of rational thought. Thank you RF atheist!

Welcome aboard!

Btw, we really don't eat puppies....at least I don't.

Whatever you do, don't cook a cat in the microwave.
My brother did once.
He had to get rid of the microwave.
Cause after the cat indecent, whatever he cooked in it came out tasting like *****.

That could be good or bad, depending on your preferences

1st amendment "freedom of speech," which goes against the 1 commandment
it is a public forum... right? You won't find us knocking on your door trying to convince you...
you entered this forum with the understanding that this is a public forum, if you have a problem with that then join an exclusive, believers only, club

It is.
At least for me.
For some strange reason I want my pizza to taste like pizza, hamburgers to taste like hamburgers, mac and cheese to taste like mac and cheese, etc.

Ah, there's your first problem. Cooking all that in a microwave in the first place. ;)

Hey there
So why do people that do not believe in God and detest religion seek out religious forums to pass their time? I've put this in same faiths hoping to attract those with some sort of faith.
Given that believers understand their faith cannot be ‘scientifically proved’ many come to religious forums to learn, inquire and debate points of religious view respectfully.
What do we think of people that come to religious forums just to seek entertainment by belittling others. Forever singing the same tune “where’s the proof?”.
I put to the forum that atheists that spend their time on religious forums are to be pitied most of all members. What’s going on in their heads that they find entertainment in disparaging a community that has sought out such a forum to explore the subject further?
Some are here for ‘research’, so they say. Anyone that has studied research methods will know just how valid most research done within a forum is going to be…but great excuse to be here for years doing that never ending ‘research’.
Atheists are not invited, yet their comments cannot be stopped. So let’s ignore the expected usual banter and name calling and just comment on what we think they are doing here wasting our time. Surely they have their own faith bashing threads here. Surely there are other forums in which atheists can ‘religion and God’ bash to their hearts content with like minded people. Instead they seek out religious forums and threads to air their grievances and profanity. Are they sick? Are they bored? Are they evil? Do they have mental health issues? Perhaps just depraved? Perhaps just lost?
Should those that pray, pray for them or should we just ignore their comments in our threads?

Are you talking about atheists in general or just the bad examples?

And I am confused, this thread is in the same-faith section but I cannot see a same-faith debate :areyoucra.

Why do christians and muslims and such
haunt the non religious.
(as well as those of differing religions)

Why do they care so much if I go to hell.
I don't.
Why do they haunt the voting polls with their religions,
fighting against equal rights in the secular world?

Why don't they keep their religions to themselves?

Why must they haunt the rest of us?

I think a believer would get onto an atheist forums sites and haunt polling booths if they had an axe to grind or thought they were "right' enough to interfere with the views of others. I do not need to get onto atheist sites because I can well understand the many reasons they have no foundation for belief in God or religion or both. Not all believers in God are religious extremists and want to shove it down everyones throat. Then again not all atheists are here to chop off religious heads either.

I accept the feedback that it takes both believers and non believers to build robust discussions as well as an opportunity for believers of any faith to test their beliefs and this is a good thing.

These are as much our threads as they are yours; the ones we "haunt" are in the debate forums. The reason these debate forums exist is to get all points of view on a subject; that means both theists and atheists are allowed to voice their opinions. There are DIR forums set up for you to "learn" from if you can't stand us pesky atheists stunting your growth; I suggest you look at those rather than complaining in the debate section.
