Why do disbelieves hate the word disbelievers

Lets imagine you were a black person. And I called you a non-white. While accurate, it has a negative connotation and is also a generalisation. Even "disbelievers" believe in something.
Gravity, love, self.
Also judging from history, that term was used as an oppressive term. By people who believed themselves to be superior.

Put these together and it's no surprise.

In the end, it boils down to the individual's self view. Some people actually don't really care what others think or say.

It makes no sense why they hate it.

They dont believe in it so why does it bother them?

Personaly iam proud kafir/disbeliever in judaism/christianity/hinduism/buddhism/atheism because i will never believe in their doctrines.

Correction title: why do disbelievers hate to be called Disbelievers

Being labelled an unbeliever does not bug me. It is everything else many religions attached to the label unbeliever I have an issue with. Other labels which dehumanize and slander the unbeliever solely due to rejecting a claim that is unconvincing.

It is simply that atheism is not a faith, but a lack thereof. Disbelieving implies that someone knows a concept to be true, but still rejects it. Your non-belief in Christianity, for example, is just that; non-belief. If you had proof that Christianity was true and didn't believe it, it'd be disbelief.

Atheism also lacks any sort of doctrine. It is solely the absence of belief in gods.

That's certainly an interesting take on it.

I use polytheism for shias because i really believe they are polytheists.

There are certain things that makes shias to be polytheists in my view.
Same as there reasons why i deem disbelievers to be disbelievers.
I know what's mean takfiris, and you are used it. and generalizing is evil.

I do believe God said" Fitnah" is worst than killing, for reason, and for people.

edited to add:
I do believe Shia are Muslims, they worship Allah as God,as all Muslims do.
Why Shias are polytheists.in your view ?

While I don't care if people call me a disbeliever, those who do care probably do so for the same reason you would object to it. That is, we all, every human being on earth, believes all kinds of stuff, so in that sense all humans are believers in a very real way.

What you mean, when you call someone a disbeliever, is that don't happen to believe your particular myth -- just as you probably don't believe their particular myth. And in that sense, everyone -- including you -- is also a disbeliever.

Sorry...we need some sort of sarcastic tag here to make things clearer

Yes! Those would be great. But maybe it would be okay if I just paid attention a bit better. I'm sorry. I just looked and I realised that I thought you were the I love Allah moniker. Hopefully I'll get to know you guys even though I've been a member since 2006.
