Why do some people leave religiousforums?

I'd say I enjoy participating in general, but that it seems that things can sometimes get too circular or repetitive, in which I'd understand if some people found it a bit tiring. People sometimes argue the same points over and over, without really listening to each other or changing their minds. At times, I feel that when this does occur, it becomes a two-man or three-man game to the detriment of the spectators.

I left for a goodly while (stop with the cheering) but came back when I realised there was still much to learn about the global climate emergency, what the word socialism means, why there are different species of animals and the shape and age of the Earth.

Excuse me? See, I can't even make a post here without being insulted. Wow, RF. Seriously, screw this board. Maybe I should just permanently leave.
I was accused of being snarky by the Lifetime World President of Snark so don't fret. The same person has also accused me of being racist. Just treat it as edgy entertainment. ;)

For me, one thing is after a few weeks on here everything just kind of goes in circles. It's almost too tight knit of a community to work as a forum, originality becomes increasingly rare. I also think there's just a psych aspect to it: I started on RF as an angry hostile jerk, and fall back into it much faster someplace like here than, say, a brand new forum. The subconscious is crazy. Plus the LHP section is a ghost town and some of us from the DIR are the reason, so woops haha.

I think RF can be fun, but can also get a bit "routine", or sometimes one may disagree with the popular ideas, and get tired of hearing about them.

The way I'd describe, is that I think RF is a great site, but that there might still be "growing pains" - we have a new cast of regulars mostly, and a lot of people from before 2015 have left, and with this new cast of members, many of which joined after 2018, we are learning to get along in this limited frame of time (under 5 years).

There's something cozy about it tbh. This can make it wear out fast, but it always feels good to come back.

Why do some people leave religiousforums.com?

I love this forum. I will never leave.

But what are the reasons some decide to leave?
You will leave one day. Sometimes, it's not a decision we get to make. At 75, this is probably more real to me than to you.
