Where does Christ say they were supposed to be the last? All you have shown me so far is one verse that starts off with "I think." Hardly a convincing statment. Where as I have given you a verse that most definatly states God will always have prophets at some time or another on the Earth.
Let us read the start of the whole chapter shall we?
1 Cor 4:1
"So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. "
If Paul isn't convincing to you, read the verse above and see again how you OUGHT to regard him.
1 Cor 4:2-4
"Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord
Paul said he those peole who were entrusted must be found faithfull, because they are judged by the Lord himself.
1 Cor 4:5
"Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God."
He was declaring a statement of faith, the he must be trusted as he assured God will bring the hidden things of darkness to light. He was declaring he was clean and his conscience is clean.
1 Cor 4:6-7
"And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another. For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?"
Paul refused to receive any compliment for the teachings he wrote he said i will not boast of things as if i did not receive them he was bringing the glory up to God. and explicitly instructs not to think of men above that which is written.
After all these declaration of his stewardship, that he is judged by God, that he will not brag about what he received. he then states:
1 Cor 4:8-9
"Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you. For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
Now, do you dare say again that Paul made a "hardly" convincing statement? Don't answer me anymore, you are not accountable to me as i said, you are accoutable to your own conscience.
Have a Good night sir, God Bless!
