Why don't some people like being Apes?

I like it, the idea of my family tree extending back billions of years, and being related in some way to every living organism on the planet.

Why don't some people like this concept?

Because, quite frankly the Bible is pretty darned clear...God created humans directly, and separately from everything else, out of clay. It happens to be wrong, but it's at least quite clear.

The bible is hearsay evidence. Hearsay evidence scribed by ignorant, primitive mankind who was trying to adjust to his developing imagination. It would be kinda like being in a dream when you couldn't decide if you were still asleep or half awake. Kinda like the IQ level of my german shepherd dog.

Moses was credited with writing five books of the old testament which was mostly written in third person. Who was that mystery writer who told about what god said to moses and described the surroundings? When the naked teens were in the garden with the snake...who witnessed that?

One would assume it is because they are very insecure.

I think you underestimate the fact that the overall intelligence of Cro-Magnons hasn't changed since we first evolved. Not to mention, the civilizations that existed alongside the early Jewish nomads had full, organized religions and mythologies of their own.

"Primitive" man wasn't really as primitive as we like to pretend. They were just less technologically advanced. There were several intelligent people long ago, but because of the lack of a good writing system, it was harder to pass along knowledge or work out mathematical equations.

Purpose implies intent. Where do you find evidence of intent?

Well, I don't know of any external guide or intention, but the fact that evolution is reactive to whatever is ideal for reproduction, it appears to have been an unintentional purpose. :D

Yeah, I'm tired.

On the contrary. Unlike Islam, evolution does make sense and is soundly supported by logic and evidence.
This type of response isn't necessary. Why not explain why evolution isn't nonsense? I'm sure Islam makes perfect sense to him/her.

Well I don't like all the grooming ape's expect from each other. I just hate how all my friends just expect me to pull lice off them and eat the little guys. Then they get mad when I don't swallow.

Not WE like to pretend!

Wandering around their two hundred square miles of territory, defecating on the ground, wiping on their hands, contaminating every river and stream...then because they knew absolutely nothing about germs, virus, bacteria etc. blamed some invisible entity for their ailments when they were sick and dying. Even the cows had TB and other beasts of burden carried disease. Plagues were commonplace and all sickness was dreaded by all. Add to that the fact that all of them believed the earth was flat and the universe revolved around it. Real sophistication among all of them...Really?

The bible is a collection of geneology, food and behavior parables, sin and the rest is myths and fables dreamed up by a few of them. There were eight known historians active at the time Jesus allegedly did his year and a half ministry and none of them even mentioned Jesus except Josephus...a Jew. Even then it was just a mention. No virgin birth, no miracles, no resurrection. That would be like NY sports writers failing to mention that Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle were good hitters. The first words even written about Jesus began about forty years after his death and then by his own clan.

Add to that the fact that there are nearly 300 direct contradictions in the new testament which is supposed to contain the only door to salvation for the entire human race and only one conclusion can be logically drawn...it's rubbish.

All over Asia they had rules about this, Eat with your right hand wipe with your left using water. Don't misunderstand what I am about to say. I love using T.P. but...I don't know if its a good thing for 6 billion people to be cutting trees down to get it.

The Indians in the citys of Harappa, Mohenjo-daro and Rakhigarhi had a sanitation system pre 1900bc.

I also think that it very clear that the Indigenous people of Australia and North America had a better understanding of the living in harmony environment then lets say Americans in my Grandfathers day.

Plagues were commonplace and all sickness was dreaded by all.

This type of thing. Seemed to not to be an issue for native Americans till the whites came.

Add to that the fact that all of them believed the earth was flat and the universe revolved around it.

The ancient Indians, Chinese, and Medieval Arabs all believed the world was round. In fact Aristotle wrote about the world being round. So not everyone believed the world was flat.

the heliocentric theory of gravitation was also developed
in ancient times (i.e. around
500 BC) by Greek astronomers.

Erwin Schrodinger a pioneer of quantum mechanics and winner of the 1933 Nobel Prize for Physics. Said he came up with his his Ideas by reading the Vedas, A Hindu text that many date pre 2000 bc.

I also believe that in many ways we modern folks underestimate the minds of or ancestors.

Just a couple of statements. The Jews wrote the bible and it was 500 AD when paper was invented and in Asia when it was. Nearly every one of the Jews owned one smock of clothing if they were lucky. Only the very elite and powerful had access to papyrus and so you witness the thoughts of the upper 10th of one percent of those alive at the time.

You wanna involve Hindus? Go read about the dozen or so '"SAVIORS" who were already on record as much as a thousand years before Jesus. Myths and legends about virgins and virgin birth were around a long time before the Jews came up with it. Virgins were the answer to everything. Sacrifice to spare tribes from the punishment of god and salvation of the world. You know why...they were a rare commodity. The powerful confiscated young women as a whim and poor families sold their daughters to anyone who had the price. The wealthy had dozens in their harems while the poor accepted anything which was the rule of the day.

Anybody who attempts to justify the absolute ignorance of primitive mankind and his developing imagination is living a dream in a world of fantasy.

For a thousand years all the Egyptians did was build pyraminds. Slaves died by the thousands while the elite ordered their daily regimine of preparing a monstrous edifice designed to outdo previous edifices so they would look better in the eyes of their gods. Sometimes hundreds of quarters of prime beef cuts...the same kind being served in NY restaurants as we speak, were placed with the mummified remains of kings and their families...How Stupid Is That??

It is necessary to try and put things in the proper perspective for others.

Why not explain why evolution isn't nonsense?
People have been trying, but like the old saying goes; "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."
I'm sure Islam makes perfect sense to him/her.
With enough indoctrination, willful ignorance and intellectual dishonesty, anything can be made to "make sense".
