Why exactly is Satan bad?

The word “Jacob” is both his name and his title. He was “the supplanter” as well as the one who supplanted as were many of the names given in those times.

As was stated to you ... you are welcome to call Sataniel by the name Adversary if you like.. This does not change the fact that the term Ha Satan in Job is a Title and not a name.

The definite Article in Hebrew does not proceed a name --- Jacob is not referred to as "The Jacob"

The claim that "the supplanter" is a title in the context of Job is ridiculous made up false nonsense ..

I gave you the source .. Wiki .. then provided you with another source Michael Heiser.

Running around crying Plagiarism is the dishonesty going on here.
Does your post #253 quote Wikipedia without citing the source?

Let's look again ...
Rabbi's .. Ha = The .. Satan is adversary Ha Satan = The Adversary.

A figure known as ha-satan ("the satan") first appears in the Hebrew Bible as a heavenly prosecutor, subordinate to Yahweh (God), who prosecutes the nation of Judah in the heavenly court and tests the loyalty of Yahweh's followers. During the intertestamental period, possibly due to influence from the Zoroastrian figure of Angra Mainyu, the satan developed into a malevolent entity with abhorrent qualities in dualistic opposition to God. In the apocryphal Book of Jubilees, Yahweh grants the satan (referred to as Mastema) authority over a group of fallen angels, or their offspring, to tempt humans to sin and punish them.

Ha Satan is a title .. not a name in the OT when we encounter this fellow.

I think Jesus wouldn’t agree with you as He call Satan by his name when he said, “Get the behind me, Satan”. :) I prefer the point of view that Jesus has

Let's look again ...

There are links to the source in the citation itself ... why are you obsessing over this silliness ? Ha Satan = "The Satan" .. Wiki is the source

You were also given another source ... Michael Heiser and link to a video detailing the in's and outs of Ha Satan

Pull head out of the fallacious rabbit hole and address the topic J ?!

The NT has nothing to do with the Nature of Ha Satan in Job .. The people who wrote and were reading Job .. had no idea of Jesus in the New Testiment or the Greek Satan Jesus was speaking of.

That settled -- your fresh claims are deeply flawed... You have no Idea if Jesus throught the term used to describe the tester in Job was a Job Description - A Name - or Both.

Jesus saying "Get behind me Adversary" or "One who tests Me" .. is not saying a name at all.

Further .. the Tester in Job .. who seems to be the same God who tested Jesus in the wilderness .. is not necessarily the same entity Jesus is referring to .. but .. even if this is the case .. calling Peter an Adversary .. likening Peter to the one who tested him in the wilderness .. is not saying that the name of this God is Adversary. It is still being used as a title.

Why exactly is Satan bad?
Perhaps because he conned God into screwing with Job?
He steals, kills and destroys. He is a murderer and the father of lies. Among other things.
It is said that God created everything, and this is found in Genesis, describing the story of Creation

Question: Where in Genesis is said "God created Satan?
What is the evidence of that?
That's what the word Satan means (enemy adversary opposer) Satan is an office not an entity. According to Wikipedia the first reference to satan occurs in Numbers 22:22"Balaam's departure aroused the wrath of Elohim, and the Angel of Yahweh stood in the road as a satan against him."

Thank you for the list

I have never seen Satan, Devil, hence Satan as a separate entity seems not to exist

I have seen people exhibiting acts attributed to Satan, so these I could call "little satans", right? At least I have proof of "little satans" disguised in human form

So, if you call "Big Satan" the sum total of "little Satans" then I agree Big Satan does exist

Satan, along with his demons, is real. I once faced a powerful demon that I managed to defeat, but it was a tough battle. Throughout my life, I've experienced attacks from dark spirits, around twenty times, with two being very serious. Yet, as I walk through the darkest moments, I find comfort knowing I am not alone. Evil comes to steal, kill, and destroy; it lies and brings harm. But I hold onto my faith, believing I can overcome these challenges.

Why exactly is Satan bad?

Why is he "the enemy"?
That's simple, IMHO:
Religions are created by humans
Clearly they are all about "Big Religion"
And also all about "Big Brother & Big Business"

Which is quite obvious from these points:
1) Claim "my Religion is better than yours"
2) Introduction of God + Satan
Well known concept "Divide and Conquer"

Satan is nothing more than sum total of all the wharped human minds + words + actions

You ask "why is Satan bad?"
Well, Abrahamics are fond of the dualism "good vs bad", hence they created "Satan is bad", vs "God is good"

You ask "why is Satan the enemy?"
Again, Abrahamics are full of the dualism "friend vs enemy"...as they created God being the friend, they naturally created Satan being the enemy.

Note:
This God vs Satan is not just in Abrahamics Scripture, it can also be found in Dharmic Scriptures. So, this proves that it's just some human concepts describing human their inhumane thoughts, words and actions

What is good about all of this?
Well, obviously human behavior can improve a lot, according to the general consensus. First step is to do introspection, meaning "stop creating and pointing at others (Satan), and start doing introspection". Plenty to work on (oneself), no time to waste on Satan IF your goal is to improve yourself, realize your Self

That is how I see the "Satan Story" and answer the "Satan Questions"

Yes .. evil is very powerful .. it can consume us .. remembrance of God can save us from
the worst.
Yes... I pray to God almost all day to please save me from the evil and devil people in the universe because there are several people who are good on face but they are devils and want to eat us.
