Why exactly would interracial relationships and marriage be a sin?

The majority of Christians that I hear talking about this being a sin are....

Baptist. Where do most Baptists live?

That should speak volumes...

The Bible doesn't say anything against one race mingling with another, period.

I am a Baptist and I don't believe it's a sin. I think you'd better check your facts before you judge us. The other Baptists I know (and since I am one, I know a lot)don't believe it is a sin.

It is. Christians are one in Christ. There are supposed to be no boundaries between us. Racism in and causing division is a sin of hubris, pride and hatred.

I believe that race hatred is a sin. As you stated, we are supposed to all be one in Jesus. In addition, Christians are supposed to pray for our enemies. You can't hate whom you are praying for.

So it only applies to other Christians? Apologies if that came off as rude way to put it, but I honestly can't think of a better way to rephrase it.

The boundary lies in other things, though. The fact that there are things God doesn't want someone to do proves that.

It is wrong with anyone, but since others don't believe in sin, then it couldn't be considered a sin. Just rather unethical. :)

Then there is nothing wrong with whites marrying blacks, or anyone marrying anyone from another race, nor is it a sin.

I consider it sinful and selfish. You don't. How about you stick to what you believe, and I'll stick to what I believe.

yes, you did say that:
Therefore, the Jewish DNA is "more pure," if other DNA, compared with it, is tainted.

But do let's talk color:
Red is red. But blue is blue. Both are pure in their own right. Pure red is pure red, and is not "more pure" than pure blue.

But that's not what we're really talking about here. Once again, you obfuscate the issue by conflating two disparate, but seemingly connected things.

What we're really talking about here is a comparison between a primary color "red," and a secondary color, "purple" (a blend of red and blue).

Are you saying that pure red is purer than pure purple??? That all secondary colors are a sin?

And by that definition of purity, is it OK for one of German ancestry to marry one of Swedish ancestry? That just doesn't bear out in nature, because we know that when the bloodlines get too pure, there are genetic problems. That's why pure bloodlines are called "bluebloods."

Yes, I suppose I failed at getting my intent across. What I meant to say was this: If it is your intent to have Jewish DNA, then DNA that is not Jewish taints the DNA.

Look, I really don't really care if people want to have interracial marriages. I'm just saying that I think its sinful. It is not the gravest of sins, but sin nonetheless, in my opinion. And that's it. It's not up to you. It's my belief, and I'm entitled to it. I'll believe what ever I believe. Your opinion is moot with regard to my opinion.
