If you're going to try and convince folks that it's a good idea and better for society to deny a subset of the population a basic human right like marriage, you're going to need to prove that when that group exercises the right, someone or society is harmed.
So, how are you currently being harmed by the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of married same sex couples? In what way are you measurably suffering? How has your life been damaged? What rights did you have before that you don't have now?
I'm not interested in what your god says. I'm interested in whether or not everyone has the same rights, equally. I married the person I love, and I want the same for everyone, regardless of the genders of the couples.
