Boy, you've really drunk the Kool-Aid, eh?

He's making your country look like a total disgrace and ruining the world in the process.
OOOOOOoooooooooooooo scary. Perceptions are perceptions. I will take the lowest unemployment rate in 30 years, a booming economy, increased spending for the military, a tax cut, renegotiated trade agreements, over your perception.

He is ruining the world ? What balderdash. You no doubt are talking about "climate change". Why don't you make your indictment about the greatest polluters in the world ? China, Russia, India, Viet Nam. We already have cut our carbon emissions quite significantly. Why should we impose more costly restrictions, when these others have none ?

Trump is sometimes a buffoon and clown. He is blunt, direct, undiplomatic and blurts what he thinks.

However that is his personality, he rattles, shakes and disrupts. people love him or hate him. So be it.

He makes the US look like a total disgrace ? Really ? Is our massive foreign aid a disgrace ? How about our contributions to NATO compared to what other nations pay, a disgrace ? I could go on and on, but the point is made.

You hate him, I got it. However, your hatred, or every Brits hatred means nothing to me. Why should it ? You need us much more than we need you, and luckily for you, we look at you as our eccentric, sometimes misguided, cousins.

Why does the UK keep letting in after insults a member of the Royal family and the British people and their elected officials?
No head of state visits another country without an invitation. So, the question should be asked of the Brit leadership.

The leaders, unlike the many ignorant people, know it is in their nations self interest.

Like that time when Trump invited Kim Il Jung to meet him in Singapore, that was really in our self-interest.

There was one meeting I thought was worthwhile.
He should be negotiating with foes in order to achieve more peaceful relations.
But with Iran he's doing the opposite...all threats, bluster, & reneging on agreements.
Such foolish behavior could land us in another war.

As for his visiting England, what use is that?
Is he negotiating anything which cannot be done by phone or thru envoys?

He went to Britain to say : "Do not fear Brexit. We Americans got your back".

If he had wanted to feel welcomed and home he would have gone chez nous.

I am guessing that with the lack of effective UK government at the moment the powers that be considered it a good idea for a state visit to take place now rather than when he can do any damage

Skanky Old Mongrel!
Of course, insulting Brits is a useful function.
And Trump is better at this than previous Presidents.
Let's hope that @oldbadger is publicly excoriated for his many sins.

OldBadger does have many sins, all secret.........
But Mr Trump's speech about the Queen was well written and well delivered, methinks.

He mentioned her DIGNITY AND DIPLOMACY ........ which is fundamental to her position.
Our Parliament is supposed to deliver efficiency ( Doh!) and our Monarch is supposed to support Parliament with DIGNITY. It's written in to her Job Spec, I understand.

That would have pleased her, I'll bet.

One of Nigel’s callers put it very well when he said that the UK is in a PC bubble.

The queen smiled when shaking hands with the guy who ordered the murder of a favourite relative. Trump should not present a problem for her to put on a cheesy grin

I bet she goes into patience grandmother mode. Trump was stumbling around looking a little lost last time.

Why is Trump here?
So far he has insulted the Mayor of London and the Duchess of Sussex.
and has interfered in the Tory party leadership election as well as suggesting that he wants to meet Nigel Farage, who has no capacity in government.
And that was before his plane touched down.
He is totally avoiding meeting or even seeing the people, by going from point to point in his helicopter and landing on private enclosed grounds.
He knows he is not wanted, he knows he can do no further business with Teresa May.
It is not only an insult it is a complete waste of British and American Public money.
All so he can be flattered by a Photo opportunity with the Queen.

The Mayor of London would rather spend his time insulting people than deal with the ever-increasing crime rates.

Donald is right about that.
