Vishnu is usually depicted as blue or blue-black. I'd always heard that, as an incarnation of Vishnu, Krishna displayed a dilute version of Vishnu's complexion.
The topic was not started by me. Brahman is perhaps Nirguna, but there is Saguna Brahman also. Everyone accepts that Brahman can assume any form, any color (nama-rupa). My interest is basically historical. Sure, if you think the topic is uninteresting, leave it at that. There are topics in which I too do not participate. Are we really arguing about which color is the Supreme Brahman ?
I'll just back off from this tread now and keep going on with my duties to realize it without wasting time arguing.
Krishna is supposed to be a poornavatara, Seyorni, with all 16 attributes. No question of dilution, IMHO.I'd always heard that, as an incarnation of Vishnu, Krishna displayed a dilute version of Vishnu's complexion.

Why Krishna is Blue
I thought it was because He had to debate with atheist-advaitans until He was blue in the face!

It is never blue, always 'Ghanashyam' - the color of rain laden clouds. Faulty source.Agree. You are right.
Any topic has many shades and angles which readers perceive and share on any thread.I'm getting the distinct impression that very few people actually read the OP.
