Devaki or Yashoda weren't black. They were white ( Indian ) :) And Krishna was a Dark divine as like a rain cloud...
You sure? But Draupadi was of dark color.

It is said that Sri Devaki so missed her baby Krsna , that allthough krsna was being cared for by yashoda mata Devaki was so fearfull for his wellbeing , that one day she decided she must set out to find him , upon finding him and seeing Krsna to be grown , she did not fully recognise him . Krsna of course recognising his divine mother Devaki asked her do you not recognise your Devakinandan ? ...Devaki replied that she only knew the sight of her beautifull Balakrsna , ...so Krsna to please his divine mother took the form of Balakrsna and took place in her lap .

so here remains the glorious form of DevakiKrsna , ...krsna seated in the lap of Sri Devaki :namaste
That is a nice story, Ratikala.
Jai Sri Krishna.

.. who is or what is Aryan , who is superior ..
That is a historical question, Ratikala. Did I ever say that Aryans were superior?

I always say that the indigenous people were superior because of the way they assimilated Aryans and other later tribes also without any blood-shed. They were wise.

quote Madhuri ....
Does anybody have an opinion on the actual OP? Like the idea of the blue aura?
jai jai , ....

Krsna is the eternal , the all pevaiding ,

of the elements he is Ether - space, (which is dark blue )

he pervades as he is the pure spirit , the source of all creation .
from him all consciousness and matter manifests ....

therefore each other god has the colour of an atribute or energy , Krsna has depth , the colour of the cosmic universe which manifests all .

and if we look to the the ayurveda ....we will find the qualitys of Ether described thus ...Freedom , Peace , Expansion of Consciousness .
Love and Compassion .

and Separation .

and of the chakras Indigo is the third eye......
the auras relating to these chakras ...

prehaps these and the above give a little more food for thought ...

Arya means noble in Hinduism. Let us be noble as intended by the Lord, who delights in noble thoughts , words and deeds.

Let us now focus on Krishna's blue-black complexion which is the subject of the op and thread and ensure no digressions takes place due to superficial and petty thoughts.

Sorry, I haven't read through the thread, but word got me recently that for a long time blue pigments were rare and expensive. So maybe it has to do with presenting them as exalted forms?

Friend LuisDantas,

Guess only the time frame is incorrect.
During Krishna's time guess the need of indigo was not much

jai jai , but was Balarama's favorite colour :)

it was only during the British Raj that Indigo got cultivated mostly under the Britishers to satisfy their needs for blue colour for uniforms as the natural dye was resistance to weather and even sea water uniforms all over Europe and America needed indigo dye.

Love & rgds

just a small textile history lesson ...the trade in indigo goes back in time way , way beyond the arival of the British , taking the trade over from the Dutch , indigo had been traded many centuies even before their arival of the Dutch and the Portugese being so close to the silk road the trade in Dyestuffs goes back into time immemorial ....

however it is true that the British during their rule traded heavily in indigo which went all over Europe and to the Americas

it was only with the advent of the European development of Coal based synthetic dyes that this trade diminished . causing much depravation for small pesant farmers .
