Then you must have run across very willing and patient people.I used to think that.
But then I have lurked in many a Creation v Evolution thread and learned quite a bit.
Most of the time is was a creationist presenting a long list of nonsense they copy/pasted from a creationist website and mostly @Subduction Zone and a couple others pretty much presenting website after website that refuted the nonsense presented. Then you must have run across very willing and patient people.
It gets frustrating at times. Please note, I have never claimed that evolution "disproves God" but I have been accused of that countless times. I was still a very strong Christian and accepted evolution. Why I left the faith had very little to do with the failures of Genesis. A Christian should be able to see that Genesis still works as a collection of allegory and morality tales. Insisting that it has to be true is the fastest way to refute that particular version of God.Then you must have run across very willing and patient people.
Why should I debate about God with you ?
Like; the creator of any hollywood movie very well knows in advance that -- who will be the "Hero" of the moive at the endhow does God know who won if she isn't keeping score?
I’ve heard it can aid digestion. Why should I debate about God with you ?
Sometimes it can induce indigestion.I’ve heard it can aid digestion.
Dont believe in everything you hearI’ve heard it can aid digestion.
What is it you want to debate btw?Dont believe in everything you hear
Aren't you ?Because you're interested in the subject?
About GodWhat is it you want to debate btw?
What type of evidence are you looking for ? let me askProvide enough evidence and I might consider doing so, but only as to God being a possibility, and no room required.
What about he/she/it?About God
That is also good. What about he/she/it?
Like what tho, whether there is a god? As in a formal type debate or just a conversation about it?That is also good.
Like; something about God that stop you from believing in.Like what tho, whether there is a god? As in a formal type debate or just a conversation about it?
Ah ok. To me, from looking at what evidence there is of how Judaism/Christianity developed out of earlier ideas and beliefs, and how both religions have changed over time, it seems very clear that god and religion are both human creations. Something that preceded literature, philosophy and science, but with comparable aims.Like; something about God that stop you from believing in.
