no one knows if he was ever a muslim. he could have just played along and be a non muslim, a hypocrite to be more specific. you don't just be a muslim all your life and then become a christian in a second. he is a hero because like i said, the late ottoman leaders were corrupt, they did things for personal gains, they wanted to change our culture and language and that is not permited in islam because our culture doesn't contradict the islamic teachings. there was never any wars before that, the leaders were good muslims.

While I do not support the actions of Israel and think that how the country came to be was one of the major screw ups in modern history, I don´t think the Palestinians are Israels real owners more then the Indians are Americas real owners. Times change, if you own a chair and loose it, to find me sitting on it ten years later it is not yours to take.
