Why Was Jesus Necessary?

Miracle

Christian
It is amazing Adam came up with so many names for all of the species on the earth. Oh and do not forget the animals in the past or were they on earth before Adam. Do not remember whether the the bible stated if dinosaurs were made before or after Adam (not to mention all of the animals before dinosaurs). Did Adam or Eve name the plants? What about bacteria and fungi?

Does this answer the question of why Jesus is necessary?

I would never parse out sin. That’s the very last thing I or my family would do. Teehee!

I wish you could be here though!
If you’ve come to some focused definition of the word, you’ve parsed it.

Why in the world should I “be there?”

There’s none.

And because it would be cool to get to know you and just talk about the Bible all the time. That’s one of the best things to do!! Here out your ideas and figure out how you got to that conclusion.

Wouldn’t that be fun? Getting to meet new people?

Y’know... we can only honestly deal with the texts in an exegetical fashion. I think we can very safely admit that the creation myths don’t line up factually with biological science.

That’s why the internet... sometimes it’s a great invention. Other times, not so much...

So why is there an ongoing debate between evolution and creationism. I agree that creation stories are myths and metaphorical used to teach those who follow that faith but so often they are taken as the literal fact.

There’s that....but meeting people in person is better.

Anyway, the point is that there are people out there. Few but that’s to be expected.

That’s why I said “honestly deal.” Creationists aren’t dealing honestly with the texts.

Okay. However-- this statement is false: "Science predicts an asteroid big enough would burn up the oxygen in the atmosphere"

That is an impossible thing. Cannot happen. Oxygen does not "burn up"-- it is what *enables* the burning of *other* materials.

I believe the article I read said that Oxygen would not combine with Nitrogen to form a stable gas and it wouldn't be a burning but the article didn't mention Hydrogen. A burning will cause oxygen and hydrogen to form water. We did that in chemistry class.

Well, if you lived to 150 or 200 or 250 and continued to get an education? (and by education, I absolutely discount wallowing in theism-- that's feeding the dragon/delusion, not increasing your education)

As I said, most folk don't live long enough, nor continue their education.

I believe the so-called education is the delusion. God is the reality.

It’s okay! Truth doesn’t depend on whether you agree with it or not.
You’re correct. You’re making the claim that goes against conventional wisdom; it’s up to you to provide proof of its veracity. Otherwise, it isn’t real.

My comment was directly addressed the ludicrous claim of "burning up all the oxygen in the atmosphere".

Since the article used an obviously false statement as one of it's principle claims?

I highly suspect the entire thing was false-- and intentionally so. That's the way of propaganda: False, because it's attempting to push a false narrative.
