Lucifer doesn't exist in the Bible.

what do you mean - he is directly from the bible are you saying the statment below is incorrect

Isaiah 14:12 (New King James Version)

The Fall of Lucifer
12 “ How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer,[a] son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!

as you can see its clearly mentioned

so why is the upside down cross a symbol used in satanism if it has nothing to do with the bible ?

Did I claim Satan had nothing to do with the bible? If I did I take it back.

From wiki
It has also often become associated with Satanic and anti-religious attitudes, as it is considered to represent the opposite of Christianity by inverting its primary symbol, the Latin Cross. As a result, this symbol has become very popular within anti-religion groups and among some extreme metal musicians, notably black metal groups. In popular culture, including films such as Rosemary's Baby, Exorcist: The Beginning, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Ghost, The Devil Inside and The Omen, inverted crosses are often displayed to represent Satan.

Individuals may be drawn to engage with certain realities known or recognized as "satanism" for various reasons, but primarily, in my own view, it is the play of the forces of consciousness upon which the will is based that determines what an individual can or cannot do or believe in.

I think the real issue is about what "choice" really means in the context of "faith", and the individual's awareness of their own beliefs.

Who killed more people in the Bible?

God was protecting his children and gave them centuries to tune to him , those people were sacrificing there children to gods -they deserved to me destoryed

Did you know that God...

Forced friends and family to kill each other for dancing naked around Aaron's golden calf?
Burned Aaron's sons to death for offering him strange fire?
Burned complainers to death, forced the survivors to eat quail until it literally came out their noses, sent "fiery serpents" to bite people for complaining about the lack of food and water, and killed 14,700 for complaining about his killings?
Buried alive those that opposed Moses (along with their families)?
Burned 250 men to death for burning incense?
Rewarded Phinehas for throwing a spear though the bellies of an inter-tribal couple while they were having sex?
Ordered, assisted in, or approved of dozens of complete genocides?
Accepted human sacrifice in the cases of Jephthah's daughter and Saul's seven sons?
Helped Samson murder thirty men for their clothes, slaughter 1000 with the jawbone of an ***, and kill 3000 civilians in a a suicide terrorist attack?
Smote the Philistines of several cities with hemorrhoids in their secret parts?
Killed a man for trying to keep the ark of the covenant from falling and 50,070 for looking into the ark?
Approved when David bought his first wife with 200 Philistine foreskins?
Killed King Saul for not killing every Amalekite as he told him to do?
Slowly killed a baby to punish King David for committing adultery?
Killed 70,000 because David had a census that he (or Satan) told him to do?
Sent a lion to kill a prophet for believing another prophet's lie, another lion to kill a man for not smiting a prophet, and some more lions to kill people that didn't fear him enough?
Killed 450 religious leaders who lost a prayer contest with Elijah and burned 102 men to death for asking Elijah to come down from his hill?
Sent two bears to rip apart 42 boys for making fun of Elisha's bald head?
Killed 27,000 Syrians by having a wall fall on them, sent an angel to kill 185,000 sleeping soldiers, interfered in human battles to kill a half million Israelite and a million Ethiopian soldiers?
Killed King Ahab for not killing a captured king, and then sent King Jehu on a series of mass murders to kill all of Ahab's family and friends who had ever "****** against a wall?"
Killed Jehoram by making his bowels fall out?
Killed Job's ten children in a bet with Satan?
Killed Ezekiel's wife and told him not to mourn her?
Killed Ananias and Sapphira for not giving Peter all their money?
Killed King Herod by feeding him to worms?

fun - what is fun - to some people its rape murder and theft - waht do you call fun ?
I don't see why that wouldn't be fun.

social acceptable - wow thats pretty weak point - but i would say theGod that heals people and provides for there needs

Prove Yahweh did that in the Bible, and leave Jesus out of this.

No we Go to hell becasue God is pure and holy and cant have anything to with sin ,

That's funny, because he ends up breaking all of his rules. How pure and holy is that?

"We can't judge God" might be your reply, but how come you're judging God with good things and we can't with negative things.

if you are not born of the kingdom of heaven God cant habe you in heaven - bible says he wants everyone to be with if
So everyone is going to hell?

wow you know very little - well done 0/5 great score

I admit I haven't read the Bible, but I know a lot on it.

I know this thread is quickly getting out of control, but I still want to add here a bit different view on things for the sake of discussion. Disclaimer: The ideas presented below do not necessarily represent how I look at things now. And I am not a Satanist nor do I worship Satan. Satanists here may agree with what I write, but it doesn't mean I actually do represent Satanism.

When I was younger and still tried to cram my world view into Christianity I found myself starting to feel more and more sympathy for the Devil. In Genesis he is the one to give humanity true free will, making us "like gods, knowing good and evil". Later in Job he is actually tempting God and it's God who allows all the evil to happen to Job. He could have said no, but instead Satan reveals the weakness of God himself. In the Old Testament the actual competitior for God is not Satan, but Baal, the Canaanite god, in the New Testament the bigger threat comes from Beelzebub and his demons. Once again Satan is only the tempter of God/Jesus. The Revelation was the only place I was aware of where Satan is described as a true threat to humanity. And at the same time I felt bad for the fallen angels, since they seemed to have got their punishment simply for happening to be working for the wrong person. The God in the Old Testament in the other hand seems to have a terrible temperament. Actually so terrible I jokingly used to say he resembles more a demon than a god. In Exodus says to Moses that: "Thou canst not see my face; for man shall not see me and live". And in Numbers we're told how the wrath of God kills over ten thousand people just because they happened to be close when he was punishing someone else.
(End of disclaimer.)

In Antiquity there was also a Christian sect (I can't find the name right now, since my books aren't available) that thought that it was better to focus Satan (trying to stay in good standing with him), since he was a bigger threat to their salvation than the all-merciful God. So historically there has actually been people worshiping Satan without actually having been thought to be evil. They were eventually declared heretical, of course.

Heh, seems me and Sum of Awe were thinking of the same stuff at the same time. Thanks for adding to my argument. What a nice person God is described to be. :D

So you are claiming Satanists worship an ancient king of Babylon? That's what Isaiah 14 is about, and the desire to think Lucifer is a name is certainly laughable, like claiming Thomas's real name was Doubter or Twin.

I guess I have to be specific: your Lucifer doesn't originate in the Bible. Lucifer is not the devil, nor is he any sort of supernatural entity. To say the terrible error of not translating Lucifer is proof of your devil is like saying God has an apple in His eye.
