Hmmmm ... you may think it is fun , ..... but just of recent allmost every thread degenerates into into the same state of derailment .....because some one is ' just having some fun '

Having fun is such a big crime, that it is totally unforgivable. It's such a monumental, and deafening crime that it destroys and nullifies the chances of attaining moksha. It's so horrible that it completely baffles the Gods.

The Shri Gods told me to not be interested with moksha. They said that I must concentrate more on school and acquire good grades, become a model citizen, and help out my parents and friends and family members to the best of my abilities in both a lawful and Dharmic manner.

...he is even telling every one he is a jelous god and that he wants offerings of food ???

Allegorical sarcasm is an acquired skill.

Now, this is quite rubbish. :p The noun and adjective, "Krishna", literally, means "black". You know, as in the color, black?

Black-Color-Block-image.gif

For example, I am quite sure that you know very well that Vyasa's full name is "Krishna Dvaipayana Vyasa"?

"Krishna" for his dark-complexion, and "Dvaipayana" for his birthplace.

But, not once, did I ever dispute "all-attractive".

I was just saying that If I were to write "the night is black" in Vedic Sanskrit, I would write it as:

Krishnam ratrimasti.

EDIT: If I want to speak about a painting and say that there is no black:

ná krishNam asti.

"That water is black":

tad ápam krishNam asti.

"O Blackness, I would obtain that glorious wealth":

KrishNas tam aśyAm yaśásam rayim!

One more meaning of Krishna -

The word 'krish' means attractive.
The word 'na' means spiritual pleasure.

- Mahābhārata (Udyoga-parva, 71.4)

In other words, one who attracts from material pleasure and gives spiritual pleasure is Krishna. Krishna is all-attractive.

Yeah, so like...I need help.

I seem to have dug myself into a hole I cannot dig myself out of...facing a whole bunch of guys who are more into 'women's rights in Hinduism' than I am....and I am a woman:

The "I am woman, hear me roar....very quietly" comment was quite funny, I'll give you that (especially because it reminds me of how you said you suffered from asperger syndrome). :p

Thanks. :D

I guess that only a Hindu woman knows what it is like to be a Hindu woman and how the religion actually looks after us and protects us during that time.

It is indeed, very empowering and I don't understand how others can think I am being 'submissive' in Hinduism or 'being taken advantage of as a woman' or anything like that.

It's something that Christian males will never get in a million years!

So, I am glad the topic is about Catholic women priests now, but thank you so much for your support and intervention. Frubal time (when I am next allowed to give you one....stupid forum). *jks

Thanks for the reminder of Shiva Stotram. Yeah, I should really go and do some sadhana now and not debate with people...only intelligent people should do that. ;)

I gave it an esoteric shot for you, and will continue, if necessary. I don't expect much, because it;s hard to move those who are stuck in the mud. When we first encountered the custom, my dear wife did a lot of research, and we consulted with our Guru who explained much of the mystic side. We (more she, but I am the confidante) also 'experienced' it so to speak. That was very convincing.
