X-rated Pornography in the Bible?

Levite

Higher and Higher
Nowhere in the entire Bible is there any material that is meant to sexually arouse the reader. Therefor the Bible does not contain any pornographic material.

What makes you certain that Song of Songs was never intended to sexually arouse the reader?

"She lusted after lovers with genitals as large as a donkey's and emissions like those of a horse." Ezekiel 23:20

This is pornography.

Omg, I thought he was kidding! XD

No the frubal for inventing that turns to be the frubal for pointing it out xD

Ezekiel was speaking of a prostitute. Here's a somewhat "cleaner" translation, although it says the same thing. :D

Eze 23:20 and lusted after her paramours there, whose members were like those of donkeys, and whose issue was like that of horses. (ESV). (I would have used another version, but they all used that other word for donkeys, and I wasn't sure if it considered an expletive or not.)

I know, I read it in context, but thanks for the verse hunt ;)

Ezekiel is actually speaking about the nation of Isreal and likening 'her' to a prostitute who does disgusting things with 'foreign' bodies.

We would be appalled by that sort of behavior in a real person... and God was appalled when Isreal made alliences for protection with foreign nations... so he likened Isreal to a prostitute who is having sex with a donkey.

Gods prophets were very explicit when it came to the nations sins.

Comes to show how much the prophets thought about x rated passion towards donkey sizes and their issues :D

Totally disappointed with the lack of X-rated Pornography in this thread.... I feel betrayed. :(

For a religion that advocares the verse 'Be Fruitfull and Multiply,' don't you think they'd be for things that encouraged sexual thoughts? Perhaps a pin-up in the Bible, 'Miss Deuteronomy' or something. -- Bill Hicks

"Porn", like beauty, is usually in the eye of the beholder.
Perhaps 13 year old Filipinos come from a very naive and shielded environment that the mere mention of love, affection and human touch makes them feel awkward.

The french philosopher Voltaire once wrote, "In order to converse with me, please define your terms." The definition of pornography is "sexually explicit material: films, magazines, writings, photographs, or other materials that are sexually explicit and intended to cause sexual arousal." In order for sexual material to be considered pornographic the material must have the intention to sexual arouse. If the intention is not there, the material is not pornographic. The key word is "intention". A few examples: A video of a naked woman showing her vagina masturbating would be considered pornographic in most cases. A video of the same naked woman showing her vagina giving birth would not be pornographic. To determine whether or not material is pornographic, the propose of the material must always be taken into account. Sexual orientated material is not always pornographic. Nowhere in the entire Bible is there any material that is meant to sexually arouse the reader. Therefor the Bible does not contain any pornographic material. Discussing intercourse, human genitalia or nudity is not always pornographic.

Well said.

I realize that it was symbolic- What the prophets said was almost always symbolic. But thanks for going through the trouble to explain it. :)

I feel the Bible and it's various books are like anything else- children up to a certain age would have their parents to guide them. Some of the stories in the Bible are pretty graphic- not just sexual but violent. It is about men and women who, even though they followed God, were not perfect anymore than we are now.
My daughter wanted to read the Bible when she was younger, and someone provided her with a children's bible to start with.

Yeah. Exactly. I'm 13 and I dont want the children bible. Its boring.

Quran is 4 Adult, Child, Baby, Old, and Teens which is Muslims. And even non-muslims can read it. Because, quran is the final revelation of god. No explicit material, perfect, accurate, and TRUTH.

There is no more evidence about the truth of the supernatural claims of the Qran than about the truth of the supernatural claims of the Illiad. Or the three little piggies for that matter.
