X-rated Pornography in the Bible?

You have to be pretty lacking in sexual confidence to describe the love poetry and mild eroticism of the Song of Songs as 'X-rated pornography'.
Books like the Song of Songs are why the Bible will always be more admired as world literature than the Qur'an. The Qur'an simply doesn't have these qualities.

Quran is Perfect, Clean, and Not Dirty nor Explicit than the corrupted Bible (in Islamic View).

Well... no, they're really not. They're both different conjugations of what's ultimately the same thing, evolution via natural selection or not.

Besides, relax. Homo sapiens is nothing more than the scientific name for us. It's the difference between God and Allah; two terms for the same thing.

I mean homo habilis. Haha sorry.

How would anyone even know what went on in "pre-history" times? The definition of "pre-history" is "history before written word: the period before history was first recorded in writing." Are researchers using a crystal ball or maybe they are psychic? Please explain. That went right over my head.

We know a great deal about times that are pre-history.

The occurrence of written materials (and so the beginning of local "historic times") varies generally to cultures classified within either the late Bronze Age or within the Iron Age. Historians increasingly do not restrict themselves to evidence from written records and are coming to rely more upon evidence from the natural and social sciences, thereby blurring the distinction between the terms "history" and "prehistory".

Contemporary written material suggest the possable availability of recorded historic details, though does not guarantee it.

this is what is so unattractive about Islam imo... women are dirty creatures who need to be hid away from the world. That is the impression i get, anyway.

Have you heard this phrase before?
"“All things are clean to clean persons. But to persons defiled and faithless nothing is clean.”

I get the impression that they fear women because women may cause them to sin.
The reality is, they should only fear their own weakness.

They seem to be taught to fear the object of their own desires. Rather than be taught to control those desires.

spot on!

And that is what I love about Jesus teachings... he gets people to think about the underlying cause of sin and helps us to adjust our own thinking (sin begins in the mind)....when we learn to adjust our thinking so that it is in harmony with Gods views, it is no longer sin.

Has the quran changed the mentality of men when it comes to sexual relations and females? It doesnt appear so to me.

This reminds me of Indians and the typical native style of dress. There is eroticism and sexuality expression so much through their culture yet they put the most strongest emphasis on brahmacharya(celibacy). One would wonder how they can avoid sexual misconduct with so much flesh being seen. It just goes to prove that their religion teaches utmost values in self-discipline. The entire body is to be controlled and never reach a state of intractability

I suspect Islam lacks a full concept of self discipline.
It is also easier to control someone else rather than yourself.
just as it is easy to blame someone else for your sins.

They also fear the visual...
They do not allow representations of natural objects, people, animals, they fear pictures of dogs and pigs as if they were real. they fear representations of God or Mohamed. They fear to view the flesh of women.

Although such things are not mentioned in the Qur'an and are placed later (by organized clergy) I would not say Islam lacks self discipline but it's followers sure do. All of these things are described in the hadiths.

The Qur'an does not forbid making images of Muhammad, or having pictures of any kind. This fractured state of theological chaos stems from cluttered illogical doctrine and dogma. The Qur'an also does not make reference to the hijab or burqa despite its usage by numerous Muslimah.

We need to remember that sex is not a sin. My mother always told me that sex was a beautiful thing between two people who love each other very much- a way to share totally in the mind and the body. It is one way that a couple is created from two people. Although we Christians believe in sex after marriage, we don't see sex in itself to be sinful at all.

Say that to an asexual like me. I almost border anti-sexualism to be very honest. I dislike all sexuality and sexual activity. Call me bizarre but I never understood the appeal but now I think of it, having the sex drive of a castrated tortoise explains a lot.
Perhaps I am missing something you people have

Not liking having sex is not offensive, either. Disliking sex is not a sin.

I, personally, don't really enjoy sex either- not even with my husband- I just don't get what is so wonderful about it- doesn't feel good to me at all. Kind of personal, I know, but don't think you are all alone in the world. I don't feel envious of those who enjoy it so much, however. And most people do enjoy it.

Oh, and I said it was ONE way for two people to become a couple- not the ONLY way. :)

The french philosopher Voltaire once wrote, "In order to converse with me, please define your terms." The definition of pornography is "sexually explicit material: films, magazines, writings, photographs, or other materials that are sexually explicit and intended to cause sexual arousal." In order for sexual material to be considered pornographic the material must have the intention to sexual arouse. If the intention is not there, the material is not pornographic. The key word is "intention". A few examples: A video of a naked woman showing her vagina masturbating would be considered pornographic in most cases. A video of the same naked woman showing her vagina giving birth would not be pornographic. To determine whether or not material is pornographic, the propose of the material must always be taken into account. Sexual orientated material is not always pornographic. Nowhere in the entire Bible is there any material that is meant to sexually arouse the reader. Therefor the Bible does not contain any pornographic material. Discussing intercourse, human genitalia or nudity is not always pornographic.

Yeah but, plural. . .I mean a woman only has one of. . . you know: that thing you mentioned. . .

What kind of women have you been hanging around with? :D

"...The nectar of my pomegranate..."

Sounds d*l*ic*i**s .. Haha! ..

See that? You had to purposely mis-quote the verse to make it fit your interpretation.
