Your beliefs of Afterlife?

I'm not so concerned about an afterlife as with a before death life. How many of us are living our lives to the fullest? Im not afraid of death, im afraid of dying without having lived.

The point of the Renaissance, don't waste your life for an afterlife we don't know that exists, let's make life better and worth living for all of humankind.

One life in the hand is better than two lives in the bush.

Thoroughly logical, doesn't scare me in the least. Perhaps that's your issue, have you considered the hubris that is required to be terrified at the idea of a universe that just moves on in complete ignorance of your absenteeism?

If there is an afterlife, I'll worry about it when I get to it. Until then, I'm too busy enjoying life to concern myself with what may or may not happen once I shed this mortal coil.

No because it is irrational, lol.

We had to be on this earth for a reason and it is logical that we have an afterlife.

:)
How is it irrational? There is no evidence to suggest there exists an afterlife anyway.
Do viruses and bacteria have an afterlife? Will AIDS go to heaven/hell?

Its the heaven you see in the care of another for you. As in love or simple as help.
We attached this heaven to them. And if they are gone we seek it in the world.
We detached heaven from its origin into this world.

So behind everyone back is heaven (probably for me). They have it as their driving unkown force to live.
Find out which kind of force it is and you know your after life. And if you honest and brave enough
to detach (your) heaven from earth you will know there is heaven is all there is. Hell is rather a word when that there is no heaven.

That there is an afterlife is the wrong question
What does your heaven look like? and is God the highest treasure in your heaven? Is heaven God centric or you centric?

Book 5 of the Psalms is poetically like Dueteronomy, the last month before entering the promised land, coming home
Heaven should be like coming home

and the Thief said to Him....
remember me when You receive your kingdom

and the Thief said to Him....
remember me when You receive your kingdom
After death, I receive the Kingdom. I leave this individual 'self' and become 'Brahman', the stuff that the whole universe is composed of.

but do you retain....'you'

It would be nice wouldn't it? But I just can't see how. "I" am a brain and some sensory organs. Poke out my eyes, I can't see. Bust my eardrums, I can't hear. Take away all my senses and I can't detect anything around me. We see what happens to people when their brains go kaput...severe Alzheimer's patients lose their "them" even when they are still alive. How, then, with no sensory organs and no brain whatsoever can we be expected to retain our "us?"

It's wishful thinking if you ask me.

I've been blind seven days.....and did not stop 'seeing'

I've had my limbs cold and unresponsive....and did not stop 'feeling'

I've known a level of pain where the pain stops

yeah sure.....the brain seems to be that last connection to this life
shut it off and you are no longer interacting.....here

I believe in ....'there'
