Yes, God is forever on the other side of the mind's conceptualization of God. The actual reality that the name 'God' represents can not be known, but it can be realized. If and when THAT reality is realized, then belief in God can be dropped. There is a mystical saying that you have probably heard before....."God can only be revealed to God by God." The non-dual nature of oneness is quite impervious to the probing curiosity of the dualistic perception of mortals.
