It was on fire when I laid down on it.
From our lessons last sem, our clinical instructor told us that unused muscle usually becomes less toned, "flaccid" and "lazy". Just a suggestion, try to place a pillow under your foot everytime you sleep (if it is possible) to relax your foot muscles, have it moved sometimes, but, do not force yourself. And if the surgery healed already, go to a physical therapist and have some walk.
Hey, Lawrence, that is actually excellent advice, and it's exactly what my doctor told me - so you're pretty sharp.
I go to the doctor Wednesday to assess the rate of healing and to determine if he can change the cast type and when to start physical therapy. Right now I have the SLIGHTEST wiggle room in the cast (I guess from the swelling going down) and I've been wiggling my ankle and trying to rotate it as much as possible. So far so good!
May I just say that one obvious strength of your personality is your ability to empathize with others. I hope you choose a career that capitalizes on that strength. You seem like an exemplary person.
