The point I was trying to make was that the jew who died was not an israeli citizen.

I was commenting on your stetement that "Countries do that when their citizens are at risk"
that gets to the different notions of "citizen" then.

"Half distant-cousin". The Bible calls those people Gentiles. Line up five Arabs and five Jews. Now tell us which are Semites and which are Anti-Semite.
The bible calls which people gentiles? The word "gentile" doesn't appear in my bile. And you are further mixing up your terms. "semite" is not the opposite of "anti-semite." Have you read any of the material posted on the etymology of the term?

Because they have a powerful military to protect them.

Indeed they do as evidenced by wars with Arab armies.
However the feeling of safety isn't real safety.
Israel and it's citizens are under attack constantly, need to be in defense mode
all the time.
They should be in defense mode all the time. The need is apparent and who could fault them for being on the defense and appeal to Jews to return to Israel for mutual
defense.
The Israel people understand the goal of islam far, far, better than the sheeple
of other nations.

If by "extremely well" you mean "by causing endless paranoia and contributing to obscene amounts of hatred and bloodletting", then sure.
It's hardly paranoia. The arab leadership constantly say and act upon their threats to try and kill all the Jews.

At least they are in a position to protect themselves.

What I am objecting to is Netanyahu's way of ignoring 95% of what happened and using the remaining 5% for to support his political agenda.

One person running amok with a weapon killing 2 and wounding 5 is not 'an islamic terrorist attack on the European Jews. The other person who died was not jewish, most likely he was an atheist. So is this a religious terrorist attack against the atheists community? I think not :)

I am offended by Netanyahu's statement because he ignores everyone else involved, hurt or killed in the attack using the one person who is a jew and then goes of making a long statement about jews.
Netanyahu started his statement by extending condolences to all the people.
"We send our condolences to the Danish people, and also to the Jewish community in Denmark"
Then he focused on a subgroup with which he has a particular connection. If the US state department sent is condolences to all the people and then sent out a travel restriction specifically for Americans, would that be equally offensive?

Jews are being targeted in Europe more and more.

They should

1) Be allowed to carry concealed guns

2) Should return home to Israel
@1) So you want different laws to apply to jews than apply to the rest of the people?

@2) If they go 'home' to Israel they are not i Europe anymore, so the whole 'Jews are being targeted in Europe' kind of becomes irelevant.

So all in all you want all jews to go to Israel and carry concield weapons?

I'm not a Semite but I know people of the Near East are. Jews, Arabs, Iraqi, Lebanese's, Jordanian, Syrian = Semites. Get a blood test. Maybe that will help clear up The Family Feud.

It's Jews being targeted, and he is the head of the one and only Jewish state.

That's how it comes into it.
No it is NOT Jews being targeted, it is a man running around killing people, one of whom happens to be a jewish.

More obfuscation. No where did I make any claim about who was and wasn't a "semite." You establish a straw man by attributing the position to me and then arguing against this pretend statement.

yes, and those drawing cartoons of Mohammed aren't being targeted either...a guy ran around in G=France and in Denmark and killed people, some of whom just happened to be cartoonists who drew Mohammed. Pure coincidence that a kosher market and a synagogue were shot at.

You told me to trace myself back to Shem son of Noah. When the people fighting in the Near East get blood tests to prove they are related, the World will then step back and stay out of The Family Feud.

A simple blood test is all the people need to stop the silly idea that one group over there is Semite and the rest are What?

the question isn't "who is a Semite" (and feel free to try and trace yourself to Shem, son of Noah if you'd like) but "what does "anti-Semite" mean. You can play games with the word "semite" and still have no effect on a word which was coined specifically to mean "anti-Jewish."

Your words.

... Why the OP is "offended" is something the OP needs examine.
The fact the the OP posist the question "should I be offended" is suspect.
Perhaps it seemed a gentler way to bash the Prime Minster of Israel for the preposterous idea that Jews are under attack world wide by muslims that don't mind one bit killing anyone, anywhere, anytime, in the name of islam, allah, Muhammud or the local imam.
To believe these religious muderous attacks world wide are independant acts of a "few bad muslims" is beyond ridiculous.
Perhaps this latest attack on a small country that welcomes deversity of cultures, religions, races, that just happened to happen where free speech was a topic, was mere conincidence????
Too bad the dead Jew was murdered in front of a place of Jewish worship was somehow wild a**ed bad luck?
Sure.
I am probably offended because of the fact that most of the people killed or hurt in this attack were NOT JEWISH, but for some reason that seems to be irellevant to Netanyahu and quite a few people in this thread.

I am sure the attacker ment to kill the Jew he killed. I am also sure he ment to kill as many of the people at the meeting/debate as he could. I don't think there is any coincidences here.

But why is it only important that a Jew was killed, what about the rest, should thay just be ignored for the sake of propeganda?

If this is about Netanyahu suggesting Jews should maybe get out of Europe and move to Israel, I am not Jewish nor was I born a Jew, so I probably should not speak for Jews whether they should be or not be personally offended. I can only speak for myself, personally.

Personally, I think it is too early to cut and run from Europe to Israel if one were a Jew. There are a lot of anti-semitics in Europe, but Europe has also far too long allowed Islamic nutjobs come as illegal aliens or legal immigration even though they are commiting cultural genocide on Europeans and literally want to finish the job of the Nazis and then move onto burning all other religions, politicos, atheists and homosexuals alive in cages after they get done with European Jews and Hindus too.

Actually, after Jews, the Hindus like me are higher on the Islamic Extremist extermination list than even Christians. Some folks don't know that.

I am not about to surrender England to Pakistani fascists Sunni nutjobs, nor France to Iranian mass murdering Muslim jihadees, and never will I surrender beloved Holland (Netherlands) to either.

In fact, in the long run, I don't think the Islamic Extremists ever will be able to "take over", not Europe nor even Iraq in the end. And eventually the regime in Iran will fall to their own people. But we probably will have to fight World War Three after 2 more years of Obama.

But I DO think Jews in Yemen should cut and run to Israel, so Net isn't that far off the mark.

Nice guy, Net, I like him a lot and am more offended by Obama than Bibi.

Some of these Euro Jews might consider coming to Texas, however. They would fit in well and make good money. Personally I don't want to move to Texas. It is being invaded by South of the Border types by Obama agenda to swing Texas from Red to Blue to use voter fraud to lock in 2016 for Dems. So I think we should bring in hordes of Jews, Russians, Indians, Hungarians, and such into Texas to offset this favortism of Mexicans over all others.
