  • I have missed you greatly, Badran. :) Please be here more often; you're my sanity check!:D
Good to know you are done moving. So everything went smoothly?

I'm all right. I *still* can't really get used to the feeling of being free, though. My finals required so much work that the feeling of being haunted by coursework has been forever engraved into my brain, it seems. :p
I have limited knowledge of Egyptian; I apologize.

Why am I doing this? I like you, Badran. You're entertaining. :p
Ah! You beat me to it! I was going to post something quite similar to you! I was so happy when DS told me you were in chat. I feel the same way; you are incredibly awesome and so intelligent. It's amazing how much we think alike...it's almost scary. I hope you come into chat more often; I simply adore you and your perspective. Thank you for being you. :D
Thanks for the frubals :D. As a sceptic I'm trying to be as neutral and open minded as possible :)
Aww shucks, thanks for the Frubal and for being such a great friend. :D I think you're awesome too, Badran. :)
I mean this sincerely: If you ever get the chance to visit Colorado, I would greatly appreciate it if you would allow me to show you some of the state. In particular, there is a hot springs that is so beautiful, so peaceful, I have noticed many visitors to it speak in whispers -- as if they were in a sacred cathedral. The animals there will come right down to the pools you are soaking in. And in the evenings, you can hear the coyotes calling to each other. I would love to show you that place -- and many others!
It interests me that both of us find so much worthwhile in watching animals! I too find watching them brings me a kind of peace and happiness. I have an animal story for you...

A friend and I used to like taking midnight hikes along wilderness trails. One night we were hiking when she whispered, "Look! Mule deer!" I looked around and couldn't see them despite the bright moonlight. Then they began to move, and I realized they had been standing no further than 30 feet from us! About seven of them. But it seemed as if they were almost invisible! They didn't run away, but just moved off in that stately, dignified way wild animals sometimes have. I held my breath for moments as they left.
P/S: I just notice in the "What's Your Age" thread that you are 23. I knew you were young, but it still impresses me to see it because you have such wonderful wisdom for your age. I imagine you might even be something of a sage when you get to my age.
