Was eve kicked out of the garden?

This is an interesting question that will make me wonder. That could be an explanation to how God knows about us. I reject the idea that all history is set in stone and cannot be changed. What I mean is how do we have any hope, if God knew everything that would ever happen, in advance, and...

    The ressurrection of you!

That just popped in my head when I registered today. I got into a bad disagreement, yesterday now, over the nature of Christ, and that must have crept up to my consciousness because of those thought processes. Anyway, back to the topic, I already started thinking about that, anticipating that...

    Is the Day/Year theory scriptural?

Ok, thanks, I will see if I can look it up.

    The ressurrection of you!

The wicked will be raised to corrupt bodies and the faithful will be raised to incorruptible bodies. There are two resurrections, one to life and one to judgment. The first resurrection will be ones who have passed judgment already, in Christ. The ones who have rejected their savior will have to...

    The Year 1844

Nice to meet you, anyway. I always have to wonder how many people on religious forums are former SDA. Most people do not even know what it is. I still belong to the church and show up some times. I have a friend who is my sister's husband's cousin who is SDA and it has gotten my interest level...

    The Year 1844

The story about all that is in "Early Writings". I think it may have been a convenient way to push the whole thing under the rug, so to speak. (making it something going on in heaven, instead of on earth) Better than what the JW's did, trying to get more mileage out of it.

The suffering servant of isaiah 53

You make this nice synopsis of this prophetic teaching of Isaiah, then you end the post with a cryptic message about a "people- redeemer". I always enjoy learning some historical background to parts of the Bible. Your post seems to contradict my understanding of the situation between these two...

    Is the Day/Year theory scriptural?

Is this method of calculating days something you made up or is it something you have a source for? I mean is there some sort of consensus among scientists that think this is the proper way to count days, by dividing the number by two. I do not remember hearing anyone saying this was correct.

    The Year 1844

I think I could say something about belief in 1844, being raised as a Seventh Day Adventist. It is the judgment, as in the Day of Atonement, where the high priest goes into the Most Holy Place to cleanse the place of the accumulated sin from the daily sacrifice. The people of the earth undergo...

Why have Christians forgotten the fourth Commandment?

Sorry that I am not in a good frame of mind to discuss all of this, right now. The point I was trying to make was that there are things worth discussing here that relate to this whole question about the Sabbath. Right now, my mind is disturbed about the "dying god". Whenever I try to get into a...

Why have Christians forgotten the fourth Commandment?

Thanks for the reply. I am not caught up on things, so I do not understand your post, exactly. This makes me think of some verses I was quoting last night. (somewhere else) Jesus had the fullness of the Godhead dwelling in him. You can find references to verses that talk about Christ and the...

    A bloodthirsty god?

This may be off topic but if you want to be creeped out, read this. I found it very disturbing. To me,this points out that the sacrificial system of the Temple believed in a literal thirst for blood. It is the priest that says "I thirst" but it is probably a corruption of an older right where...

Why have Christians forgotten the fourth Commandment?

I think I might disagree with both of you, mainly on technicalities. Both of these things (The writ of condemnation and the writ of Moses.) can be interpreted a couple of ways. The context of the document nailed to the cross was, the barrier between gentiles and Jews. And the exact meaning of...

Why have Christians forgotten the fourth Commandment?

Hi. I just joined this forum and got attracted by this thread. I might have to jump into what I would have to imagine is a hotly contested issue. I generally think you have to be lenient about the Sabbath. I was raised as a fourth generation Seventh Day Adventist and I know that people can get...

Just got kicked off another forum...woo-hoo!

I do not really want to bash other forums, just explaining why I would want to switch forums. I was not banned and I will be given back my posting privileges once, I guess, I agree to not discussing the nature of Christ. I just have to deal with the idea that some forums are restricted to "happy...

Just got kicked off another forum...woo-hoo!

I do not know if I am allowed to mention the name of the forum I was on but it has the word "Bible" in it. They do not allow any unorthodox posting in it. Here is my post that got me an infraction and my posts removed: Here is my response to the moderator who gave me the infraction: I am...
