I'll take the word of scholars over yours; the scholars who translated the NIV render the passage:
(23)From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. Get out of here, baldy! they said. Get out of here, baldy! (24)He...
The favoritism might be more visible in the way that the American government and people regard the state of Israel. It's like, as far as the American government and people are concerned, the state of Israel can violate international law and do whatever they please because they are the state of...
Hi,
I wanted to ask Bible-believers, what are their thoughts on this passage from the Bible. The passage is 2 Kings 2:22-25; in the passage the prophet Elisha allegedly cursed and caused the death of 42 "little children." It seems to me that a prophet of a deity that should be worshiped...
Peace,
Lol, well I guess that that is how it seems to you. My question is religious and I guess political if the Jews are a race and a religion; but the centerpoint of my question is Galatians 3:28 in the Bible, which reads, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free...
Well, I'm an agnostic if agnostic means one who does not believe or disbelieve that there is something/someone that should be worshiped (a "God,") but I don't believe that anyone or anything that should be worshiped would condemn anyone for honestly disbelieving in Him/Her/It.
Sorry to hear of any religious/race hate that you have experienced. But some Christian preachers do glorify the Jews in my experience; I'm not sure if those preachers are part of some conspiracy or not.
Peace.
Well, when you attach "anti" to a word, it suggests to me that one would be open to attacking that which the party(s) is "anti" or those who believe in what the party(s) is "anti."
If people want to believe in a Deity, again, I say that they should be free to believe in that Diety. I don't...
Well I can only speak for myself. As a man, if I was walking around in public in say just shorts & flip-flops, I think that I wouldn't like being stared at but I would try to just ignore it. But I think that some people like their body being stared at.
Depending on the woman and situation I...
Peace,
You made a mistake in your highlighting...but I did find a link the internet. I can't post links yet because I'm still new to the forum but the link is at www dot topix dot com slash forum slash world slash denmark slash T7VDPGQA5DU2CP4R1. That link says:
"...Before Islam, people...
Peace,
I don't believe or disbelieve that there is something that should be worshiped (a "God.") To me, maybe there is a God (something that should be worshiped) and maybe there isn't. I feel like that because it just hasn't been proven to me that there is something that should be...
Well, I've never heard anything as dastardly as that from Christians...I just hear sometimes what seems to me to be glorification of the Jews. I don't understand how they glorify them as they do when their scriptures say: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there...
Hi,
I'm not a member of any religion but if I'm not mistaken, in the time of Muhammad of Arabia people were already visiting Mecca from all over the earth. If Muhammad (and his religion) conquered Mecca then maybe his religion spread by people believing in the sacredness of Mecca.
Peace.
Peace,
I assume that as a Jew you don't listen to a lot of Christian preachers but a lot of American Christian preachers preach favoritism of Jews/Israelis.
What "christian prophesy" are you referring to? and how would such prophecy change Gal. 3:28: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus"?
I'm an American; I don't know how most Americans feel (favor...
Galatians 3:28: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."
Where are you not understanding?...
