I always feel immensely relieved. It's one of the few religious discussion boards that is pretty active that I've been on that has not had draconian, idiotic moderation. A lot of the theologically diverse forums I've been to haven't been busy enough to bother staying on.
Nice blog! As former military. Reading up on some of the stuff going on in the military right now with religious bias and abuse of enlistees seriously ****** me off.
I've read all but the last book of Earthsea. Going to cross my fingers and see if I can find a copy in a used book store before hitting up B&N or Amazon.com.
Rereading A Wizard of Earthsea. Short but it reads like poetry. Thinking of braving up the money to buy a Poe book that has some of his stories and poems.
For me the issue is less with arguments about when life begins and more about do I trust people to make their own decisions. Personally I see it as a monumentally egotistical intrusion of personal space to take the power out of someone's hands and either make a decision for them on the issue of...

I remember watching on show on those type of places and something about people working to take legal action against such places. As long as they find good grounds to do so I wish them the best because those so called "deconversion" places sound horrible.
*raises hand* As someone who used to live right near and went to a megachurch on my occasions. Those places are nuts. Sure lots of nice people...but pod people nice.
