Is there any religious argument that actually stands when scrutinized with reason?

Hmm quite a dance - first you say laws are created by man now you say man only records existing laws. In an analogy where would you say those existing laws originated? Are particles showing subjective likes or dislikes? Aren't these natural laws of the universe and in accordance with the...

Is there any religious argument that actually stands when scrutinized with reason?

Ah yes but sometimes it is the last waltz and the last waltz will be forever. Your prejudice and preconceived ideas are showing. Have you experienced the so-called spiritual, supernatural and paranormal as found in telepathy. Recent researches have proven it to exist even if it is not...

Is there any religious argument that actually stands when scrutinized with reason?

Oh no my friend since when did we make laws concerning of say the attraction or repulsion etc of Atoms or sub-atomic particles etc. We only observed them and then gave words to what we observed.

Is there any religious argument that actually stands when scrutinized with reason?

What is this wafting on the breeze of a typical atheist/theist reply. It smacks of pondering the imponderable. Saying prove the esoteric has no meaning for you must personally experience it to know it.

Is there any religious argument that actually stands when scrutinized with reason?

Van Gogh created some beautiful paintings, Bach and others created some wonderful classic music. They used things that already existed. God also used the so called dust - meaning an existing element on earth, to create man. Genesis 1:26 clearly states he asked the earth to bring forth things...

Is there any religious argument that actually stands when scrutinized with reason?

Notwithstanding man made laws I have the freedom to reject them all. If I wish to murder someone then I will. If I decide to commit suicide then I will. Man is a god unto himself and has utter freedom to do as he pleases. However he is not alone in this world and as such through...

Is there any religious argument that actually stands when scrutinized with reason?

You must be very careful with him though - He does not know the difference between - some, many, most or all. When, on another thread I said - many atheists - he intimated that I knew not what I was talking about! If I had said most or all then I would have conceded his point.

Is there any religious argument that actually stands when scrutinized with reason?

No I do not associate myself with them. Although many, as you yourself now exhibit bare your subjectivity by making incorrect assumptions concerning me and others. He is too far caught up in his own subjective belief system. He is like a frog living in a tiny puddle with blinkers on. He...

Is there any religious argument that actually stands when scrutinized with reason?

Quite so he is too far caught up in his own subjective belief system. He is like a frog living in a tiny puddle with blinkers on. He cannot see the ocean beyond the horizon. What tickles me is he says you never proselytize and in the next breath he says you do it all the time! How can we...

    What did Jesus Look Like?

In general terms this does not indicate that I am a Student of the Bible. I stood in my garden and studied what the aphids and a Ladybug was doing - Does this make me a student in that field? Next time ask what I meant, it is obvious from your assumptions and preconceived ideas that we have a...

See the information in the following link - http://www.gotquestions.org/was-Jesus-a-carpenter.html The NT was written in Greek, not Hebrew.

    What did Jesus Look Like?

I also said - "Tell me how many technological devices can you name that are found in the OT and NT?" I asked this question to see how open minded you are and and if you are capable of seeing beyond your preconceived ideas. Just one would be enough - as a clue I can tell you it has a rather...

I gave Jewish/Judaism sources that contradicted yours.

    What did Jesus Look Like?

Sure but left, right and centre some of you are now saying he was a magician and a sorcerer; So does this intimate that, as the yogi did and still do, go into a deep trance and everone seeing him in that state would in those times, think he was dead. Others to bypass the resurrection...

    What did Jesus Look Like?

Can you read and understand? He does not claim to have met Jesus in person. A voice and light from the sky is what he said. He does not claim to have seen him because he was blinded by the light.

    What did Jesus Look Like?

The two bibles I mentioned do not agree with her and neither do the two sources as per the links I provided. So put that in your pipe and smoke it Four sources outnumber two. I actually gave another third link which was apparently also ignored. I feel sad for you and her.

    What did Jesus Look Like?

Paul did not describe it as a vision, he described it as a happening.
