"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

I predict that you cannot let it go. You continue to pretend that you have answered my questions, in spite of the fact that there are no answers to be seen. You say that you are not playing the game of answering questions. Translation? SZ closes his eyes and stamps his foot ...

Legitimate reasons not to believe in God

joelr, there are many places in this conversation where you appear to be angry, strident and intolerant. I couldn't possibly cite every single one. I just read these words of yours: "Beliefs are not important and almost always wrong". This is a perfect example of a childish and intolerant...

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

Oh, I 'get it', SZ. Anyone reading this will 'get it'. You are unable to answer even one of my questions, So you run away. Oh, and here comes another false claim. Please show me where I have maliciously harassed, attacked, or cyberbullied others. And don't run away again!

    Christians: is there a hell?

You are using a good translation, Wildswanderer! :heavycheck:

    Christians: is there a hell?

I don't believe that Jesus did not care for the rich; I do believe that He did not care for the selfish.

    Christians: is there a hell?

Yes, but what type of knowledge, ChristineM? As I explained above, a priori knowledge is knowledge that is acquired independently of any particular experience, as opposed to a posteriori knowledge, which is derived from experience. Have a look here: And here: Gettier Problems | Internet...

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

Why do you ASSUME that I feel the need to fret over what you call my 'past losses'. To help you understand. You first. ;) (Not an attack) In your dreams. On the contrary. You are running away by refusing to admit that, were you to answer my questions, you would be exposed. Here...

    Christians: is there a hell?

I have. Here is my question:-- When you say that it was written as a statement of knowledge, what type of knowledge are you referencing?
  9. samtonga43

    Christians: is there a hell?

Correct. So when you say that it was written as a statement of knowledge, what type of knowledge are you referencing?

    Christians: is there a hell?

I am not, so thank you. :) Yes, you can learn a great deal about the proselytizers by the way they attempt to follow their script.

    Christians: is there a hell?

The quote marks enclose the words of Lewis. These words express a belief. This belief is stated as a posteriori truth, not as a priori truth. I’m not understanding why you have a problem with this, ChristineM. What am I missing?

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

It doesn't sound like this to me. To me, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are consubstantial (Greek: homoousios). This shared essence is a divine one, which implies (to me) that all three named individuals (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) are divine, and equally so. These Three "are" the One God of...

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

You know, SZ, you have said those words so often that I wouldn’t be surprised if you have convinced yourself that they embody truth. Quite sad, if one really thinks about it. Evidence of what you call my ‘past losses’? Evidence that I am stewing and fretting? You are running away from the...

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

Well, no. they don’t actually, Soapy. Here’s why: God is Triune; there are within the Godhead three Persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost; and the work of salvation is one in which all three act together, the Father purposing redemption, the Son securing it, and the Spirit applying...

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

And yet, you have produced not a smidgeon of evidence of these claims of yours. Could it be that you would like this to be so, and are as is usual, in the process of convincing yourself that it is so? :D Answering questions don’t seem to interest you either. I’ve added another one (You just...

    Christians: is there a hell?

Not just my opinion, ChristineM. The opinion of anyone who knows what the words ‘direct’ and ‘statement’ mean. Not sure what you mean by this… can you explain?

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

I have no past losses to fret over, SZ. My arguments have not failed. You are not seeing what others are seeing. You are in a world of your own. Take your courage in both hands and answer my questions… 1. Let’s see some evidence of your claim that I am ‘continually rude’. 2. What is your...

    Christians: is there a hell?

I completely agree. I believe that we are all, while on this side of eternity, in the presence of God, even though we do all not recognize His presence. I also believe that only God can draw us to Himself. If we do not want to be with God eternally ... we won't be.

    Christians: is there a hell?

:) Well, I do understand that a direct statement is one in which the words spoken are reproduced within speech marks. I’ll look back and check, but I feel sure that I must have placed that quote in speech marks.

    Christians: is there a hell?

You seem so sure, Alien826, and yet you are wrong. Have you been a victim of proselytizers, as I have?
