I think many of them just want suicide because they can't handle life and it's complexities, so they want to run away. They just use the excuse given to them by fanatics and if they can spread misery to people they hate, they see it as murdering two birds with one stone.

It doesn't matter what we believe, it's what we do as consequence of our belief that matters. Also beliefs that can't be objectively proven aren't valued by people who don't understand them or see the value in them.

Interested if wages rose in lower income or if it was all just the top % earning more? In my country at least those are interesting when government says they've done something for average joe.

After WW2 Finland had a pacifist defense minister, Yrjö Kallinen, for a few years (1946-1948), who was the first Finn to write a collection of essays on Zen Buddhism "Light of the East"... he was also part of the Free Thinkers, a generally humanist and atheist group though he argued...
We also get more news about rape. It's also partly due to the fact that 10-30 years back the blame was shifted on victims and it was shameful in itself to be raped. A lot less reporting and less convictions back then.
I would love to see a presentation of this, so I don't make false conclusions. If my intuition is right (just guessing what the results are and how they are achieved... I don't claim expertise), this could make a breakthrough in communications technology in ten-twenty years.
