There seems to be a lot more people who think everything they create is wonderful, just by virtue that they created it. I wonder if they lovingly admire every poop they drop in the toilet.
People who are any good at anything tend to never be satisfied with their own progress.

It's as easy as breaking free from defining yourself according to society and cultural, so you can be a fully-realized person. I expect this is a difficult, if not impossible, action for many people. Largely, because they are so fully defined by outside influences.
Some can, some can't. I suspect it comes down to perspective and personality. Anxiety, fear, and lack of flexibility often express as the need for absolutes.

I discovered my box of "Froot Loops" cereal contains absolutely no fruit. I can't tell you the mental anguish and suffering I've endured since finding this out. Somebody has to pay.
It's a name given to our projection of ourselves onto the unknown. Some people can't deal with unknowns, so they fill it in with the only thing they know how to - themselves.
