Also - the people from the link I posted are Jewish...I believe that's applicable. That's all.

Is anyone on here a Jew by blood? And if you just converted how so?

    Chat about Hebrews/Judaism

Sure. That's my point. That always made me very sad... So then, He anointed David. And the Messiah is to come from his line. I'm sure the answer is yes but are you aware of the location of the current family members in David's line?

How well defined must our idea of a god or a gods be before we can claim to believe (or disbelieve)

Very good analogy with the map. I knew NOTHING about God when He changed me. Everyone is different - but this is my experience. So... I very much relate to your map illustration. I was shown a star. Then God proceeded to draw the map for me. To show me how to get to the star / about the...

God says in 1 Samuel 8 they rejected Him as King - forsaking Him..?

    Chat about Hebrews/Judaism

Doesn't God say HE wants to be your King? Wasn't this the issue when they still demanded a flesh and blood king and He allowed Saul, who wasn't so great, then began anointing His own line to eventually bring the Messiah out of?

The letters are often written to Jews, not "Christians" .. by (mostly) Jews - Christian is a name that was given by others later to them/groups. Regarding your "yeah I doubt that's the reason" ... what are you suggesting.?

    Abuse in "Christian" Marriages

He often said I was to submit to his authority. "OBEY ME" ... His demands were unrealistic or all over the place or contradictory. He definitely waved his "I own you" flag. And I thought it was okay. But that is not the picture of a real biblical husband.

I don't believe the other religions you listed because 1. Those gods have not interacted with me 2. I don't see any issues with the letters written that ended up being compiled and called the "New Testament"

Do you say except not simply because of the things already documented on Jesus? And Paul Mark and Matthew were Jewish correct? Luke was a Greek Doctor who interviewed folks and wrote what he wrote.

    Science and the Bible

What new information that can be added to or change my faith has surfaced? Also. I'm not religious. I have a relationship with God, and believe things I never thought I would, but nothing I do is done "religiously" but freely.

It all adds up and i must say it gives me the chills

I tried addressing that in my second comment - "..and regarding literal etc - there is history, genealogy, poetry, prophecy and more. It just takes context to see what you are reading."

    Science and the Bible

Faith and miracles look like foolishness to those who don't believe. That's just something we will live with. Educated down a different path than you doesn't mean uneducated.

    Abuse in "Christian" Marriages

Oh yes. I expected it. One factor in leaving was that maybe it would lead to him actually getting help someday.
