How can you accept evolution and still have a spiritual reality, and/or a God faith

In theory, no. In reality? My conclusion, yes. There are reasons the Bible doesn't line up with it (only "God" reference I can speak for) Besides that, I didn't come to see evolution as false because of the Bible, but research on natural processes and what we actually observe in nature.

It's rhetorical - but every line regarding Who God is/what He does is still literal/true. Are you saying the last lines about a Name are then a type of fantasy?

He was He was condoning murder of followers of Jesus... everyone in the Hebrew Bible has their sins revealed. Need we base their merit of being people of God on that?

I'm "really" just having a back and forth with ideas. The verse in Psalms does not appear to accurately represent David. Especially the last lines. That's all.

Paul was an apostate because He began to follow Who he came to believe as the Messiah. Gave up all his comforts for it. That does say something. I'm not familiar with Matthew's errors. One reason I'm here- to get any input possible.

Well we see Him creating living plants and animals. Genesis says all the things He was being pleased to create. "It was good" ... Sure he could have created them but that is adding to the text not taking from it. Clothing for the first sinners isn't exactly good either, eh? Regarding the word...

    New Girl Here ...

Religion - often confused with tradition. To me religion is my relationship with God. I do nothing "religiously" other than talk to Him. Favors? Not quite. Often I find I am being tested, not given favors for actions. Blessings? Yes. Endless. But not because of my actions - only because...

That's intriguing. Regardless it asks us if we know His Name AND His Son's name. Making it a specific reference to a form of identification.

He was done with His creation work at that point. For Him to create skins would conflict with that. Simply that He did so right after a sin, and made a "covering" which is literally what the animal sacrifices were. A covering for sin but not a solution.

I do not assume it is like my understanding. My assumption is my head might explode if I heard His name :tearsofjoy: But scripture does reference His Name a lot.

Regarding original sin? If so - the idea that mankind is fallen away from God because of Adam and Eve in Genesis. It appears that is no longer the line of thinking - but that we need only "apologize" and we are okay. God killed animals to make coverings for the first 2 humans after the first...

Does it bother anyone that I dot type G-d like that? If so I will here. I always thought that was sweet. However I do believe in complete grace - and being that is not actually His Name I hadn't been convicted to do so but can out of respect. JUST wanted to ask.

It seems rhetorical - like the language used in Job describing animals. Obviously God has a Name. If anyone would know it - it would be the Son. Psalm 2:7 has no identified authorship but the link you sent said David. The book of Acts also affirms David wrote it. That's interesting. And I...

And this, as well, please ..? Psalm 2:7 “I will proclaim the decree: Adonai said to me, ‘You are my Son; today I became your Father. Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance; the whole wide world will be Your possession. You will break them with an iron rod, shatter them like a...

What do you make of this please? Proverbs 30:4 Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has cupped the wind in the palms of His hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in His cloak? Who established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is his Son’s name? Surely you know!

I missed this earlier. I like what you just said more than the claim Jews will somehow obtain worthiness. However, I just learned that today's Rabbinical teachings deny original sin? But this was not always so? Humanity has always needed a Savior. Not just a King... Sin cannot be...

Care for one's own "salvation" or "enlightenment" is the personal concern of the individual

Salvation is a gift. You either have it or you don't. We aren't instructed to "care for" our salvation but to "WORK OUT our own salvation with fear and trembling" .. the fear and trembling is just to remind us to be SURE we have that salvation. That our faith is in the right place (the right...
