lol...thts a risk I agree...but I think we should abide with the scriptures..its a best way to learn the truth..and we may escape from being trapped like that ..
Rama & Krishna or king Dashratha going on hunt does not mean that they were eating meat - this is a total misguidance-as Kshatriyas they need to protect the sages from dangerous animals attack like tigers, lions etc(brahmanas protection)since the sages ashramas were in the forest and needed to...
better be on the safe side ;-) lol
I think we should have faith in GOD.. coz GOD is not a belief as many thinks but HE's a fact...
Having Faith in GOD and living a righteous life will keep us on the safe side...since even if it falls in the second possibility u mentioned it'll be cool lol
Are the following allowed/rejected by all the dharma shastra?
meat eating as a habit
illicit sex
gambling
itoxication
does any of the mentioned dharmashatra allows these??

Manu is the progenitor of the human race that's y we are termed as manava..manu smriti is the laws of manu to which manavas should abide in order to have a good and prosperous society or country..try have a look at it u'll find a list of the codes of conducts applied to humankinds..
Basically it is for all human beings but to accept it or not that's the individual's choice we cannot impose on them everyone has his freewill..but what's a fact remains a fact..Manu smriti is the law codes for humans society and that's a fact...not accepting it as such won't change its...
In Manu smriti which is the laws to be followed by human society these verses can be found:
38. As many hairs as the slain beast has, so often indeed will he who killed it without a (lawful) reason suffer a violent death in future births.
39. Svayambhu (the Self-existent) himself created...
nopes, both are eternal ever existing...since in BG itself Krishna told Arjun that He gave this knowledge to the sun god b4 (Vivaswana) and if u calculate that 28th rotation of the 7th Manvartara means over 120millions yrs back & it was existing even b4 that thts y we cannot date them
nopes vedas as mentioned before are eternal knowledge..no one can date their existence, vedas does not mean only the four vedas(rg, sama, yajur & atharva) but it comprises the puranas, itihaasas(Mahabharata - which BG forms part)etc.are Vedic knowledge as well..puranas & itiaasas are termed as...
I think maybr you misunderstood or get confused btween brahma & brahman..I follow gaudiya line as well basically iskcon & the teaching is Krishna is NOT brahma...Krishna/Narayana/Vishnu is the same personality addressed by different names and brahma is the first created being in the universe and...

Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion—at that time I descend Myself.
God incarnates in each yugas to protect dharma, His devetees...
To shivomashekar PR - Gaudiya followers don't accept things based on just faith..its based on scriptural evidences..I've just given the scriptural evidences about Chaitanya's incarnations..but you have your free will to accept it or not..
