How Important to You is Having a Sexually Creative Partner?

Eh, not really. I'm a (sexually) simple person and as long as both of us are satisfied, I don't really care if how we get to that point is creative or not. I know what I like and what my partner likes. Unless both of us are feeling particularly adventurous, I don't see the point in trying...

    Proper penance.

No, I hear ya. It will be me who reaps what I sow; not them. Then again, any and all actions we do will produce some kind of karma. Like I said though, it was a situation where I really couldn't say no. Don't want to go into too much detail, but it is what it is. All I can really try to do is...

    Proper penance.

I essentially agree. For the record, I didn't mean people who willingly and consistently do things and try to find a "gat out of jail free card", but when something is done via our ego or human folly and one feels the guilt that comes with it.
  9. StarryNightshade

    Proper penance.

Well, any action, deed, or prayer/ritual which "makes up" for a misdeed or adharmic/himsa action that one had committed. Whether intentionally or not. Let me give an example: I'm living with my parents for the summer before I go back to school. Their house currently has a bit of a millipede...

    Proper penance.

What do you feel is a proper penance for when one does something they aren't supposed to do? Whether it be saying something in anger, himsa actions, eating something one isn't supposed to eat, missing an important ritual/prayer, etc? What do you do as a penance (if anything)? Said penances can...

Which Goddesses do you worship?Which festivals do you celebrate?

I was initiated as a Vadakalai Sri Vaishnava and Sri Devi is given equal footing with Narayana. There is even a text and philosophy within Vadakalai where most (if not all) devotion goes to Sri; called the Lakshmi Tantra. The primary forms of Sri given their due in this philosophical framework...

    Starry's going to Korea.

I know some words and phrases, but not a whole lot. I do need to learn a bit more. English, since it's an international student exchange. About half will be english speaking Koreans. The other half will be a mix of Japanese, Malaysians, Filipinos, Africans, and perhaps a Hungarian guy. I'll...

    Starry's going to Korea.

I've mentioned this in some DIR threads and in some PMs, but here it is the official RF announcement thread. I'm going to Korea for a 4 month student exchange! I'm going to be studying theology at a university in South Korea's capital Seoul, and I'm both excited and intimidated. Excited...
