It leads to there beings gods and goddessess, but they are still within the realm of samsara.
Samsaric Beings.
Never did. The Buddha died, so did your mortal Mohammad, and everyone else that has ever existed on earth. The Buddha taught that death and impermanence are the highest...
The reason why Buddhism doesnt answer such questions is because they are ultimately irrelevant to the path of Buddhadharma, or thinking you have the answers to those questions is just another delusion. When you accept you dont know, that is when you are the closest to Prajna.
All I'm saying is, if I dont want my kids to become addicted to heroin, I wouldn't keep some in their room and tell them not to use it... If God didn't want them to eat the fruit of that tree, why put it there?
If God loved Adam and Eve, why would he have given them a different spiritual direction?
I just don't get the reluctance, that many theists have, to recognize that according to their own beliefs this all is God's fault.
That is quite an impressive run on sentence. If your going to type like that, why not just take it to the next level and not use the exclamation points?
Indeed, I know im not a Hindu or Vedantin, but I would like to say a couple of things.
When we read about Advaita Vedanta and take it as authoritive (Its main texts and commentaries), I can see why it would be so surprising to the reader. Advaita Vedanta is, very much so, the most...
How about you just talk to the person you're trying to benefit and see for yourself what they need. No need to superimpose our own wants on someone.
I can honestly say there are people out there who want to be treated in a way I DON'T want to be treated.
Karma is how the mind creates the world, it is intention. All worlds exist dependently upon the karma of beings.
It is very different from the golden rule (i think that rule is bs). The golden rule is in error because others dont necessarily want to be treated the way I do. The golden rule is...
The Buddha himself said that it is only possible to attain realization as a Human. A god cannot because of their state of living. Do the gods have teachings? Well, I'm sure they have many. How many of them lead to complete Buddhahood though? And even though a god may be a disciple of Buddha...
The basis of this is that the Devas and their teachings, as well as any other teaching, lack even a basic conceptual understanding of emptiness, anatman, etc. Without emptiness, there is no Buddhahood. The eternalist beliefs and so on, are the tirthika philosophies, which too lack understanding...
Thank you for this. Understanding stuff like this is a door to compassion and gratitude. Accepting the realities of life is the door to perspective, and that is the entrance to a meaningful life.
Suffering and impermanence are the first steps to freedom.
What I was really getting at is that the argument in the OP has a basis that is purely fantasy, idealogical, and not based in any correct apprehension of reality. If the foundation of my argument for why the world exists is a unicorn, it's safe to say the rest of my argument is probably, well, a...
We are the ones who define objects as lesser and greater (hierarchy), they are a subjective projection, not objective realities. The whole basis of the argument is quite non-existent. Sometimes logic isn't so logical.
