    What is a spiritual experience?

An impermanent one, like all others.

    Just a suggestion

A word of caution, this site is great for western scripture, but the translations done for Buddhist scriptures are incredibly outdated and aweful. Better to use accesstoinsight, as already mentioned, 84000.co, lotsawahouse.org, and other sites that have updated translations that have been done...

    Taking the Precepts

This is more relevant in Vajrayana, not Theravada. Theravada doesn't use Abhisheka or Diksha, per se. In all honesty @Carlita, you seem to have a good view of the vows and precepts. When you take the vows and precepts you are gradually aligning your actions with the actions of a Buddha. You...

    The Buddha's Blessings

This is just my opinion, validate what I say with a teacher. "We are the blessing lineage..." -Dharma Lord Gampopa However, blessing in Buddhism is a little different than it is perceived in other religions and traditions. Blessing in Buddhism everything, at least according to the Tradition I...

    Do you believe in rebirth?

Practice. Practice is better than nothing (and much better than speculation). The totality of your post proves why speculation can be so dangerous.

Can one say that Buddhism is an Idealistic religion?

Actually, the 6 (or 8) consciousness, along with mental formations, and perception, is all included within the realm of mind, not just Manovijñana.

Can one say that Buddhism is an Idealistic religion?

Exactly. How can you see reality as it is when you're theorizing and speculating about it?

Can one say that Buddhism is an Idealistic religion?

It's difficult to really compare the philosophy of idealism with any Buddhist philosophy. Yogacara, also known as Vijñanavada, teaches that everything is a representation of consciousness. How closely this resembles western idealism, I honestly cannot say. All that I know is that many people...

Are meat and bhaang disallowed in Dharmic religion?

The Buddha did not prohibit the eating of meat as long as the meat wasn't killed for you personally. When Devadatta caused a schism within the Sangha, he said all monks should be vegetarian. When the schism was fixed, the Buddha said if monks wanted to be vegetarian they can, but it isn't a...

    Who Created Evolution?

I'm sure that's exactly what they meant.

    Who Created Evolution?

What ignorant tool tried to convince you Darwin created evolution? Is this what many Christians are taught? No wonder why they choose creationism so much...

    "There is No Creator"

I have read up on Osho and have seen nothing that can be considered a reliable source that says he molested children. That is certainly not where his controversy lies. And @Lyndon, your use of that argument could easily be used against one of the largest religions in the world.

Be Offended By the Post Above You

Dissenting to whatever it is you're dissenting to is quite the abuse of your intellect, at the least. Which I would say is quite offensive to all here.

Bible double day is proven by top Science in 1890 by C. Totten

Wait, so the bible and various hindu scriptures speak of a massive flood, AND I can find many many online articles and books saying there is evidence for a worldwide flood... so does that mean both Christianity and Hinduism in their totality are true? Just trying to understand your logic.

What is the meaning of existence?

Just like anything else within our experience, it means whatever an individual wants it to mean. And it can mean different things based on subjectivity and objectivity. Existence, and how it is defined, is simply a viewpoint, and depends on your frame of reference.

Buddhists: Why the emphasis on not enjoying the pleasures of the senses?

Lol, say that all you want. Trust me, you'll get old and die, just like everything. And just because something is an illusion doesn't mean you have control over it. It simply means it's an ungrounded appearance.

Buddhists: Why the emphasis on not enjoying the pleasures of the senses?

I'm not even going to respond to the first part. As for the second part, read up of Nagarjuna. Emptiness, as per buddhism, is the state and nature of things. I read osho for years and this isn't the emptiness he speaks of, at all. The emptiness osho speaks of is becoming empty, emptying...

The Impregnation of Virgin Mary by The Devil

I never understood many Christians sick pleasure in telling people they are going to hell. Instead of telling people that, why don't you help them? Or does your "sinful" nature keep you from caring while taking pleasure in such things?

The Impregnation of Virgin Mary by The Devil

I hardly see the difference between the man writing this book, and the man sitting behind his computer damming him to hell. Both seem odd to me.

Buddhists: Why the emphasis on not enjoying the pleasures of the senses?

That looks like more of a reason to give birth to compassion than a reason to abandon it. I tried the path of no "isms", it can hardly be considered a spiritual path, more like stagnant water than a living path. Once you fully commit yourself to a path a lot of your confusion will dissapear.
