The humidity in Calcutta this year is more than 80%. I sweat like crazy but the locals around me are suited to this climate.
Have to take showers 3 or 4 times a day.
I try not to turn on the A.C. because i'm a cheapskate. :D
I like chicken once in a while, like twice or thrice a year but my conscience keeps telling me that i should give up eating animals. When i think of the pain they go through in the slaughter houses it makes me sad. Maybe one day i'll completely turn into a vegetarian.
By "YOU" do you mean the infinite "Me" (the foundation of all names and forms) ... or is it the individual "Me" called Greg?
If its the infinite "Me" that you're speaking of here, then can the infinite think without the 4 inner mental-sheaths? In other words, can the infinite brahman think or...
When i did a google search describing my experience, i found that experts who studied or recorded such similar experiences were calling it the void due to the dark emptyness of that realm.
I'm not sure if there were any entities around me at that time. Even if there were, they were probably...
When i woke up i saw darkness all around me. I couldn't see anything. I tried to speak but no sound came from my mouth. And an invisible force was pushing me back into my earlier sleeping position. The more i tried to get up, it was pushing me back (probably back into my physical body, even...
I've experienced something like a void few years ago. It was pitch black. No walls, floors or boundaries of any kind. It was a terrifying experience.
I have a book in which the author speaks of this dark emptyness but i haven't read it yet. I would like to gather more information on this...
Can you recommend me some good introductory books that has true accounts of people experiencing the Void during their NDE or OBE session?
Thank you. :=)
There's an English translation of Bhagavata Purana by Bibek Debroy on amazon. It comes in 3 volumes. I'm not sure whether its unabridged or not, or whether it has the original sanskrit verses in them but his explanations are quite lucid. :=)
The doctrine of drishti-srishti vada in Advaita says that jiva's vision or perception is the cause of this universe.
Did Shankara write any commentaries explaining how the manifestation of the universe takes place due to our perception?
If you ask me, the universe will continue to exist even...
Well, if God can incarnate as a human in dvapara yuga to kill demons and bring peace on Earth, what's stopping him now?
Can't he just take another avatara and put an end to all slaughtering, rape and abductions?
It just shows he enjoys this leela of chaos.
Because God is our divine father and...
Its not about me brother. I don't need any divine help from a divine being. Its the suffering of others that concerns me.
God usually demands faith and worship from us. And when He's pleased with our actions, he comes to our aid. That in my opinion, cannot be true love.
When you help someone...
@Frank Goad
Not me.
If you ask me, Batman in the movies don't look scary at all. Its mostly because his eyes are visible. If only his eyes were totally concealed with a white covering like how spiderman or deadpool is portrayed in the movies then it would have been great.
