Non-Dual Hinduism : Good Ego vs Bad Ego

@ajay0, 1. Do you still believe that Brahman in an Absolute and Sheathless state can do all the thinking, willing, witnessing? 2. Some other advaitin in another forum was saying that Brahman in its Absolute state can do no thinking, witnessing or willing. If his statement is true, then how does...

    Durga Puja Photos

I wish you all a Happy Durga Puja 2021. Here you can share photos (taken by you) of Durga idols and even photos of the exteriors of pandals/tents where the idols are normally kept. Due to crowd i usually avoid visiting the pandals/tents but back in 2019 when there was no covid, one of my friend...

Non-Dual Hinduism : Good Ego vs Bad Ego

Thanks ajay0 :) So i guess once we (from this plane of multiplicity) transcend to the plane of non-duality and experience that bliss or become ONE with that bliss, while being in the body, all sorts of ego, mental activities, attachment and even duality disappears. Right? ... Now after his...

Non-Dual Hinduism : Good Ego vs Bad Ego

It is Brahman who puts Itself in avidya/ignorance/bondage with the help of its maya shakti. Such is the belief of one of the sub-schools of advaita. I don't remember which, but one of them (either bhamati or vivarna) says that Brahman is the locus of avidya. I think all sorts of multiplicity...

Non-Dual Hinduism : Good Ego vs Bad Ego

If there's none other than Me, and nothing else to be aware/conscious of, then why am i called 'consciousness'?

    Everyday Heroes

He was my idol in my late teens. He's the monster that sleeps within everyone and only needs to be awakened.

Non-Dual Hinduism : Good Ego vs Bad Ego

We clearly know we are not the body but something else. Something spiritual. The non-dualist hindus believe the functions of mind/ego are witnessed by the Higher Self (Brahman) in a dream state ... and the inactive or idle condition of the mind/ego are also witnessed by the Higher Self...

    What Is Your Minor Malfunction?

That's some serious fasting you're doing. The longest I've fasted is 1 and a half day without food. Not for religious purpose but as an experient, to observe how long i can survive without a bite. lol. But that was a long time ago. Now if i skip even a day's lunch i start feeling dizzy. May you...

    What Is Your Minor Malfunction?

How long will the fasting last? Is it 9 long days of fast?

What is your favorite horror movie you like to watch on Halloween?

If i get to choose a movie from the 80s, i would pick Fright Night (1985). :)

    I have to ask...

Same here brother. Looks like we have something in common ;) ... But even then i wouldn't wear sheets with holes in em. Isn't that something kids usually do on halloween?

Does the body starts to fall apart...?

Since when did you start uttering the name of Allah? lol

Do you think Halloween is literally evil?

I read a book long ago where there was a mention of a festival called 'Samhain' which was celebrated before Halloweeen became popular. On the night of Samhain the veil between the physical world and the spirit world becomes thin and on this night the spirits of the dead come down to Earth where...

Does the body starts to fall apart...?

When you see yoga poses like this, the very first thought that comes to your mind is... "Damn she must be possessed or something." ... In my opinion, every yoga centre should have an exorcist. Just sayin'.

Does the body starts to fall apart...?

A harmless fight of rock-paper-scissor wouldn't be bad. And the winner will walk out with the heavyweight title.

Does the body starts to fall apart...?

I know what you're talking about. Even though I'm a Millenial (born between 1981-96) i'm often being overtaken by Generation Z pedestrians (who are born between 1997-2012). The current gen needs to slow down and let the senior and elderly citizens pass first. ;)

Does the body starts to fall apart...?

Ladies and Gentlemen, on one side of the ring, we have @JustGeorge weighing in 250 pounds and on the other side we have @mangalavara, weighing in 105 pounds. That's right. This is gonna be a helluva fight. And this is for the world heavyweight championship. Joining me in the commentary are...

What does the face of God look like?

I sometimes imagine him to be having big white beard and sitting somewhere up above the clouds. :D

Does the body starts to fall apart...?

Does the body starts to fall apart once we hit the 30s? At what age do you start to feel old? I'm in my early 30s but i often feel exhausted. Things that i loved doing like running, cycling, travelling in my mid twenties, i can't do anymore. What are your thoughts?

    I stabbed a guy today. :-(

We're all surrounded by such two-faced people. They act goody-goody infront of us but will say toxic things behind your back. Its better to avoid such company.
