So what’s so great about a Christian heaven?

I certainly did... you're one of my favorite reads (truly) --- like a TVOR without all that pesky warmth and good cheer. :D I kid. Well, I would have to say that man is more than their CV. A lifetime of "skills" in a certain profession is also a lifetime of "skills" in relating to other human...

Ummmm.... "In the glory of heaven the blessed continue joyfully to fulfill God's will in relation to other men and to all creation. Already they reign with Christ; with him "they shall reign for ever and ever." Catechism of the Catholic Church #1029 Answered and addressed x2 Would you like...

The "Bully" movie R rating fiasco and prop. 8 lawyers

It's not a big deal to me... I find the ratings to be quite helpful -- but it wouldn't matter much since without them I would continue to screen movies before letting my children see them. The rating system, in my opinion, is only an issue for those involved in the profits of the movie...

    Why Faith?

Yep... the "how", not the "why"... same as faith.

    Why Faith?

I have the same amount of evidence for faith as I do for love.... it may not be scientific, but both are "real" to me.

National security: have we gone too far?

I have no idea what you are trying to communicate here... Kinesics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Kinesics is a technique used to recognize the complexity of human behavior and communication. It combines not only the principles of basic Kinesics in terms of speech and body language...

What is the relationship between faith and reason?

When you have time, read the link ... I think Blessed JP2 "unpacks" it nicely.

What is the ultimate of philosophy?

Won't eat or drink.... that's, ummmm different. The Catholic Church sees in philosophy the way to come to know fundamental truths about human life. Eat.

Christening or water baptism is it biblical?

So your take on this is that "entire" in this case means all members --- except some of the members. OK Acts 2:38 - Peter says to the multitude, "Repent and be baptized.." Protestants use this verse to prove one must be a believer (not an infant) to be baptized. But the Greek translation...

What is the relationship between faith and reason?

In case you ever have time to read the Catholic view on this: "Faith and reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth; and God has placed in the human heart a desire to know the truth—in a word, to know himself—so that, by knowing and loving God, men...

New White House health care proposal...

Religion News Service | Politics | Government & Politics | White House proposal gives religious groups more say in who’s exempt from birth control mandate Hope this satisfies the Bishops, but somehow I think they will milk it for more political gains.

Why do some Christians become biblical literalists?

:sorry1: The farther they get from the source, the higher the rate of error. Couldn't help myself.

Why do you believe or disbelieve?

While I am sure that most atheists prefer a believer to offer up "proof" based upon (at best) subjective reasons, I am not that guy. I spent most of my adult life as an atheist ... (short version) and had a personal conversion to a belief in a higher power based upon nothing more than my...
