Hey Guys,
So I'm not too sure what happened to my last thread, but by the time I got around to posting a link to the actual survey it was gone, and hasn't been viewed since.
So here is the link - Survey provided by FreeOnlineSurveys.com
For those of you who didn't see the original post...
So I finally reached 15 posts and can link you to my survey. I can't figure out how to edit my original post and add the link...
Here it is anyway.
If you could take 2 minutes to complete it I would greatly appreciate it. I'll keep you all posted and let you know what I find with the results...
Well maybe not 'mentally ill', but they're obviously not normal. If something leads you to murder and rape, there is something about your mind that is not functioning as it should.
Don't you think 'happy' and 'sad' are universal emotions? For me it's very simple. Doing something that will result in the unhappiness of someone else is not moral. Sometimes you don't have a choice, but it always ends in an inner-conflict for me.
I don't need religion or culture for me to...
Hahaha, very awkward situation.
I've come across many strange people. Just last week I had a conversation with a homeless guy. He had just eaten a peyote cactus, was carrying a blow-up sex doll and had to go to court in the morning for DD. He was one of the most cheerful person I had ever met.
Yea, the attitude a person has when they are dying is very contagious. It's probably not easy staying positive during a long drawn out death, but when you see someone staying positive even while they are suffering, it is inspirational and uplifting.
Someone fairly close to me was diagnosed and...
Unless it's a personal attack I don't see why people get offended by foul language. I think it's funny watching people squirm :D. Swearing adds character to some people but it also makes some look stupid. It's a cop-out but it's not immoral.
I don't think any strong arguments can be made. Religion or not, murderers and rapists are mentally ill. Nothing to do with religious beliefs. I'll go with 1), just plain nuts, psychologically.
I feel sorry for people who have a strong belief in punishment after death. It must be quite a burden to live life with the fear that eternal torture could one day become a reality. If not for themselves, for others.
Yea a study by Clifton Bryant (2003) found this. I'm sure there is more.
A sample of 372 people divided into 'very non-religious' 'non-religious' 'religious' 'very religious' found that the two groups who have most faith in their beliefs were least afraid of death.
The Leming Fear of...
Hi everyone,
I found out about this forum during a lecture on religious communities on the internet. This place popped up in discussion and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the audience has now created an account here.
Looking forward to many discussions.
I don't think I ever believed in Santa. I do remember believing in the tooth fairy, but that only lasted till I lost my 2nd tooth and I got a bit too suspicious about the whole idea.
If the tooth fairy has money to give to every child who loses teeth, the tooth fairy must be the richest person...
Hi Everyone,
This is my first post here. I found out about this forum during a lecture at uni a couple of days ago. Looks like a great place.
Anyway, there's a (slightly dark, haha) topic that I would like to discuss, and I also have a survey to go with it. I will be using the results for some...
